Lanai Riverside Apartments Mackay Accommodation

Stayed overnight due to a business meeting and was pleasantly surprised at the large size of the room I stayed at. The room was clean and well presented and the staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly. Would happily stay again.

We had a great stay. Room was very nice. I asked for a room with a view in the special requests section when booked online and it seems they actually read that and gave us a room with a view of the river.All the staff I dealt with were warm and friendly.Would %100 stay there again. Close to the Austral for a great steak as well.Thanks again for a great stay.

Spotlessly clean, spacious, high quality fixtures and fittings and a nice pool and sauna.We had a three bed apartment perfect for a family. bedroom are at different ends ensuring privacyReception were extremely friendlySmall dislikes - pool is a bit cold and and no blanket in the main bedroom so got a bit cool in the night.

The best location in town for shopping, entertainment and dining out and the Lagoon right next door for the kids. Always cleaned to a high standard, with very accommodating, friendly staff. Always the first choice for our family of 6. Our favourite spot to stay in Mackay, even at late notice.

Apartment was huge and well fitted out with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Secure underground parking and location was handy to shops etc, Staff were friendly and efficient with great communication via email and text.

Stayed several times and for me this is one of the nicest apartment hotels that I have seen. I have yet to stay in a better accommodation in Mackay. The apartment is full size, and is two to three times the size of a normal five-star hotel room. It also has two car parks.The living area is very large, with a full size TV, and the views from the high floor were great. They also have a good swimming pool, a sauna and BBQ area.The staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. Thank you.

Beautifully appointed apartments, immaculately clean and offering a little taste of luxury and amazing views of the river. There was everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The staff are super friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.Close to the main shopping centre and a walking distance to local bars and restaurants.Would book there again in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately our stay was cut short, but the couple nights we had there were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment, it was clean, well presented, quiet with a comfy bed and its view and location were spectacular ... We only dealt with Lisa, but she was staff extremely helpful and easy to deal with. We will be back

The location of the hotel is great and is surrounded by lots of great restaurants. The room cleaners were very nice to us and did a great job. The staff at the reception are fantastic and are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Only downside was the elevator very slow and honestly not the most trustworthy but still a great hotel to choose from while visiting Mackay.

I had a terrible experience at this property, which I would not recommend to anyone. I stayed there three times for a work-placement. The appliances were not working on multiple occasions since the staff doesn't seem to check them, and the staff had no knowledge of the room configurations. They initially booked me into the wrong room and it took one day to get a new room. On the change over day it took 4 hours to get a new room, during which they provided no assistance with my luggage and did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience. They also made the mistake of cleaning the old room first before moving me to the new one, making me wait outside even longer in the burning sun. They didn't offer me an air-conditioned area to wait during the changeover or even offer us any drinks. On one occasion the air conditioning was faulty and when I reported it to the staff, they said it was working fine but broke down two days later, leaving me without any air conditioning for two days in that hot tropical climate. The staff did not offer to move me to a different room for two days. It seems that the main goal of this property is to make as much money as possible without providing appropriate service, and it should be considered more as an investment property money making exercise rather than a hotel. The only upside is that the rooms are large but they are tired.
