Very convenient on our return trip from Cairns to Brisbane, friendly barmaid and locals. Food was good, though veggies were cold, on return had salad and steak which was good too.

Amazing place to camp and have a fresh beer or a tasty and affordable meal. The staff from the hotel was super friendly to us, and the toilets really clean as well.

Great food and great staff and very friendly locals.Have plenty of nic nacks for people to reminisce about the good ol days and the story in regard to the massacre at the leap is worth reading.

We always stop here. Nice free place to rest a night but noisy beacause of the motorway. First you have to talk with the Pub. The toilets in the Pub are open untill 20:00. The staff in the Pub is friendly.

Free camp. A handy place to stop for a nights rest. Turn left to drive in front of the hotel to get to the grass patch behind. Be aware it could be boggy after rain. You are supposed to check in with the hotel before camping. No open toilets overnight so recommend as a good place for caravans/motorhomes or byo dunny campers. The hotel opens at 10am.

Can not knock it , it’s good , don’t hold your breath it old school bar and food is the same to match , but who cares it’s cheep and friendly and free camping as long as you go to the pub witch is great $25 for steak and mash , the veg much to be desired but no one buys steak for the vegetable, the mash is good , the steak was rare and seasoned , I would say not rested but that’s fine , vegetable I rekon are microwave who cares , pots are $6 for xxxx , the bar staff are friendly and have top bantz , if you read this you should come check it out !!

I always camp here when driving north or south. .love the bar which I discovered was topless this visit. .Food was good value and using the men's toilet at night was actually ok. .love the garden. .
