Worst customer service I have ever had.Can't open the store on time then accuse you that you never went to the store.As soon as they have made the sale, they just keep pushing you to someone else.Trying to get my phone repaired for over a month now not worth the Hassell pay more money for your staff and you might get people that are actually wanting to take pride in their work,

Not impressed at all. My father, who is 70, does not have an eftpos card, and wanted to buy a phine out right. They would not accept cash from him. What on earth!!! It is legal tender. The whole corona virus excuse does not cut it anymore. Every where else accepts cash. What a joke!!!

Beware will only help new customers. Once you have signed up you can not change your plan unless you cancel it first by going to another provider and then two days later coming back to Optus.

I will literally go out of my way to go to another store to avoid the ridiculously low level of service at this store. The manager has the personality of a spoon and literally could not be less enthused about being helpful or offering advice. Maybe one out of the numerous staff that work there are even 1% helpful.And judging by the other reviews on here I'm not the first person to complain. When will Optus take these seriously and do something about the level of service they're providing? Gross. Next year I'm outta there and going to literally ANY other carrier.

Have items advertised at a lower price then raise the price at the till. Then when questioned about it the manager removed the price tag and said it wasnt advertised at that price and told me to leave the store immediately. Fantastic business model i must say. Have been reported to the ACCC. Do yourselves a favour and go to telstra instead. Far better service and attitude.

The level of service is deplorable. I was told over the phone that a staff member would call the repair service (since customers cannot) and call back letting me know the status of my handset (it had dead pixels on day one) and never called back.Still waiting for a response from this store.Also, Optus did not replace the handset with dead pixels and refused to budge unless I sent the phone in for repair. What kind of service is that? Why is it acceptable to have a product that's broken out of the box to have a forced repair?

One star is too many. I entered the Riverside Optus shop (empty of customers) only to be greeted by two men sitting and playing with their phones. I stood right in front of the older man and although he could hardly miss me, he ignored me. After a short while I asked him if he could have a look at my elderly neighbours Samsung. He continued playing with his phone for a few seconds and then without remark, took my phone. I told him what the problem was and that the service supplier was Southern, and that my neighbour had asked me to bring the phone in to Optus as they had some connection with Southern. His first words were that Southern use Optus service, but had nothing to do with Optus. He then advised that the phone required a new Sim Card and that my neighbour would have to contact Southern.He gave me the distinct impression that I was wasting his precious time, and I certainly felt totally fobbed-off. I advised him (this Optus front-man) that with his terrible attitude and reluctance to provide a pleasant and positive service that he should not be in Customer Service. He responded (loudly) that I was not one of his customers. I replied, that a greeting, a smile or some common courtesy costs nothing and that I didn't receive any of this from him. I continued that he didn't know what I wanted when I walked in, and his obvious unwillingness to serve me, even before he knew whether I was an Optus customer or not confirms my comment that he should not be in customer service. I thank my lucky stars that I'm with Vodafone.

Literally disgusting. I live locally but am forced to drive elsewhere due to the extremely poor level of service provided here. This is not an exaggeration either due to a poor experience. They literally hire the worst workers.Last night some bloke with a pony tail was in the corner flirting with his girlfriend whilst I was waiting to be served then walks out on his break.I've has another experience where I've sat for half an hour & the worker finally communicates and tells me it's going to take over a day for a reply. Then when I asked her why it took her so long to tell me that, she walked off and served the next person in line. Literally just got up and walked off whilst giving me a dirty look.I've sat there waiting to be served before when there was no one else in the store. When I finally got bought over you would think your employee would be smart enough to close her travel website she had been browsing but no.If Optus want to be taken serious as a reputable brand the area manager needs to clear out this store & restart.

The staff were helpful and friendly but the paperwork involved took ages. I bought a car recently in less time than it took to set up a new phone plan! I don't think this is an optus problem so much as Aussie laws and rules to get into a phone contract. Generally recommend optus.

The service from 'The Manager' and another female staff member is deplorable. Extremely rude and very unhelpful. I was made to feel like I was just a nuisance being there. I quickly walked out vowing never to return to that store whilst these two staff members are there. I have no idea how this is allowed to happen. I ask why there isn't an urgent review on their status as 'employees'.
