Mount coolum walking trail
This is quite a strenuous walk with around 600 steps and the summit being over 200m above sea level. This gives you a great view of the Coolum coastline.A lot of the walk is in the full sun and there's basically no shade at the top so sunscreen and a hat is a good idea. Be smart wear good walking shoes.Limited parking off road but quite a bit of street parking. No facilities other than one water bubbler at the carpark.

Great walk. Around 600 steps up to the top. Well worth it. Our little 2 and half year old walked all the way. Unreal

Mount coolum walking trail
The best time to come in would be anytime before 9am. The sun usually get very strong during the day. Don't worry it won't take you 2 hours for the round trip as mentioned. While descending on a normal pace it take 18 mins and climb would depend on the pace.

Great hike for beginners to moderate fitness levels. Path and mostly stairs the whole way. Great sunrise or sunset location.

Great little hike, only took about 25mins really hungover so easily could do faster for the go getters! Safe track, lots of stairs, amazing view. Even though it was busy lots of places to step aside to let people past. Yummy coffee van at the bottom topped it off :)

It's a great climb with fantastic views at the top. The only problem is that there are no toilets.

Loved it. Little kids struggle and may need to be carried down. Overall great circuit and will do it regularly

Really cool walk! It took us less than 30min to get up, and about 20min back down.It’s not an easy climb/walk though but definitely worth it. The views are stunning and it’s just a different type of walk.The path is well maintained and quite clear to follow.If you have bad knees don’t do it.

Mount coolum walking trail
A wonderful hike up up up. The steps are well maintained, ropes most way to assist as it is steep. Not for the height challenged, one place in particular. Busy with people, kids, but just be courteous and give way to others. The view is well worth the heart pumping journey up. Highly recommended to locals and visitors alike.
