Update - As mentioned below, the amazing service from John and his team continued once they realised the issue. They've come back and fixed it so that it is a workable design. It's been an absolute pleasure to work with them, and I'll continue to be a champion of their business.______________As with most other reviewers, I really liked working with John and his team, and the shelf looks amazing.I've taken a couple of stars off because of the unwieldy nature of the shelf itself. It was designed in such a way so that cables could run underneath it and a multi plug could be placed under it. However, the space under the shelf and the holes for the cable are so small, that it's not possible to do this. A bit of a shame, as it's an otherwise lovely sturdy shelf.

I can not speak highly enough of John and the Great Australian Shelf. We had a large bookcase fitted in our library and we are extremely happy with the result. The bookcase was reasonably priced, and the customer service was outstanding - always extremely pleasant and polite, helpful and professional. Would not hesitate to use them again if we needed to and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs custom made shelving.

John was very helpful in designing a bookshelf solution which worked for my space. The build is high quality and looks amazing. John was very clear in his communication, and so even though the build took a little while, I was always aware of progress. 5 stars and will work with John again for future shelving needs.

Great Australian Shelves custom installed bookshelves and a desk for us. We were really impressed with the professionalism of their service. Always turned up when meant to, kept us informed of what was happening, very knowledgeable about product and also a pleasure to deal with. Quality of the workmanship is first rate, the shelves fit beautifully and are finished well, including sealing in relevant places and installation of lights, returns and power cord access. Were also impressed with the install happening in a single day and that there was no mess to clean up. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

John was extremely helpful in advising us with designing a custom bookcase, while being very accommodating and meticulous in attention to detail. The joinery team who installed the bookcase were highly professional. We are thrilled with the high quality product and service that we received.
