New England Motor Lodge

Over the last 15 years I have travelled as a landscape photographer photographing national parks in all states in Australia and stayed in many motels and hotels during this time. I consider from my experience the New England Motor Lodge to be probably the best 4 star motel (its really closer to 5 star in my opinion) in country Australia (ie excluding international 5 star hotels in the capital cities)I highly recommend the larger King bed room with a kitchenette, you have about twice the size of floor space. The whole operation reeks of a quality and attention to detail that is all but lost these days. The staff are friendly and competent in their roles, it is a real pleasure to stay there and soak up being taken care of when on long interstate drives.

Great location in the town. Both dinner and breakfast were above average. Staff were friendly and rooms nice and clean.

After a long day in the car it was a relief to book into this motel. The reception was friendly, the room was clean and modern. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, my hubby enjoyed his steak!We would recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent breakfast, waitress was lovely, the tap, order and pay buttons I thought were a great idea to have when people can choose it or have a waitress. Beds were comfortable. Little to no Highway noise.! Affordable not over priced.

Receptionist was lovely, warm and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious and modern. Perfect for a young family of 3. Stopped by The Higland Restaurant the served delicious beds ribs, beef cheeks and side salad. (We almost liked the plates clean). Professional and best service staff.The Big breakfast the next morning was one the best I've had in a long time. Everything was just perfect! Definitely recommend New England Motor Lodge at Glen Innes as a place to go, even if you are just passing through.

A small group of us stayed here for one night over the past weekend.The rooms were clean and well equipped. The shower was very hot and had amazing pressure.The highlight is the restaurant and the wonderful staff.The food was 10/10 - the Angus/Wagyu Rump was up there with the best steak I've ever had. The rest of the group were equally impressed with their meals. A beautiful setting with an open fire, also some comfortable lounges to enjoy a coffee, tea, wine or cocktail. The service was outstanding. Happy, bright and bubbly people.Breakfast was also delicious.Even though it's 500km's form home. We will be back for sure!!

Great spot for a stop over or even to spend a few days. Rooms are clean and spacious, service is friendly. Cost is good value. Thanks. I'll be back.

The RestaurantThe menu always has the good old favourites but also has really interesting options. The flavour combinations of the meals work really well and the food is always beautifully presented. I have been travelling to the area for work for 2 years, always stay at the accommodation and eat in the restaurant. I’m looking forward to tomorrow nights selection.The AccommodationGood sized rooms with modernised interior. Soft comfy beds and extra pillows. Power points for all my devices plus USB points. The fridge is quite so I don’t feel like I’m sleeping in a kitchen. This place is my choice of stay for work trips.

Best in town! Very clean, staff very very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect. The seems to be a lack of quality accommodation in town and we did spend more than we budgeted for, but it was worth it. We'd happily stay again if we are in town.
