Carlingford Village

This place needs some love. Has so much potential. But terrible parking and the place is so run down. The only going for it is has some half decent food but not so much a palace

Carlingford Village is a nice place for shopping, very convenient place for daily groceries and accessories. Many asian restaurants, serving authentic food. We visited Koyoto Japanese restaurant, the experience of live cooking was the highlight of the place.

Carlingford VillageVisited on 19/6/2023The moment your car reaches the carpark, you think you are in a slum in a third world country. It is dark and the road full of potholes.Once you reach the interior on the next floor, you enter a mainly Asian shopping centre. The restaurants are more like cafes with laminated tables. There is a large supermarket, selling mainly Asian groceries and vegetables. There are various shops including butcher, fishmonger, hairdresser, discount store, etc.Several eateries are not open for business on Monday, and it is advisable to call before going for meals.The centre really needs a facelift, and the carpark is just hazardous, waiting for serious accidents to happen.The location is good for neighbouring apartment dwellers. Once again, the apartment buildings may look good and new, but the narrow street / backplane to the carpark does not excite me a bit.

This little shopping place is a little run-down and needs renovation. Other than that, it has a big Chinese grocery store, several great eateries and shops.

It has all the supermarket, shops and restaurants for my Chinese taste buds. Very reasonable priced. Upstairs are offices and medical centre. Parking might be an issue during centre busy hours. Definitely need fresh coat of paint though I heard this site is reserved for some resi developments in a couple of years

The shopping village still looked run down just like when I visited years ago.But it didn't stop people from going there. Asian people's favourite place. Home for good grocery, bakery shop, Asian restaurants and many more.The Chinese grocery there seemed very popular especially in the afternoon before the lock down started.

Cannot believe this mall can survive for years. Got cheap Chinese cafe with OK quality with unbeatable bargain price. An ancient mall grows up with lots of Australian Chinese.

The Asian supermarket here is huge and extensive. Great for buying those products you just can't get at the chain supermarkets. Very affordable too.The restaurants here are also very traditional if you're into authenticity.Shame the vegetarian restaurant hasn't reopened since covid hit - it was our favourite restaurant in the Hills District.
