Selvam’s Dosa

One of the best dosas i had in Australia . Loved medu vada. Was lovely simple outdoor with amazing sunset, cool breeze and mouth watering food. Everything was freshly cooked. Probably can improve hygiene for spoons box but i got new fresh wrapped opened pack so no complain . My next stops for many weekends to come.

The egg hoppers, chicken Kothtu, fish Chinese rolls, vadai and masala chai were all really good. Credit card payments are accepted which is convenient. Can get busy over the weekend so best to be prepared or avoid the lunch time rush.

Delicious dosas, friendly service.The masala dosa is so good we had to get another. Cheap and cheerful, a little understated Canberra gem. Try it!

Had a fantastic evening at Eastlake Tennis Club, Manuka with awesome catering by Selvam's Dosa's - we sampled a bunch of delicious entrees, then mains of tandoori chicken, fresh curries with light and fluffy dosas. Perfect to finish off with a mango lassi - definitely all the tastes of Summer 2021!

Went to Selvam's Dosas for Sunday lunch on a group Vespa ride. The food is DELICIOUS! fresh, veggie-filled and flavoursome. The servings are generous but not too giant. There are board games to play in the sun on Selvam's tables. I highly recommend a meal here.

Totally unhygienic practice of cooking. I observed the person using same gloves for cooking, getting the generator from the car boot, setting up the lights, returned and cooked and served food without changing the gloves. The lid of the sauce bottle was disgusting with black mouldy stuff.Hello MR Selvam, you should not be serving this kind of food. This is inhumane, humiliating experience.If you don’t like your job quit it.The food was not fresh, vadai was cold, chutney served directly from the fridge, the rolls were still frozen inside above all the most unhygienic.I would never recommend Selvam dosa. I am not sure if they meet the Australian standard for food safety.As mentioned in one of the reviews those who are praising Selvam dosa could be just their friends and families. I doubt if they ever tried their food.

After reading many negative reviews I still wanted to try this for some reason! NEVER TRY THIS!! To the restaurant: You guys need to stop this business if you are not interested or give this someone who can do justice to the name. You have wasted my money and my dinner with family!! People come to you not because of lack of food at home!! The chutneys are straight from fridge, Sambar lacked the taste and the idly won the battle with eraser!! Absolute waste!!

If I can give a zero, I certainly will do. Worst place.Save yourself. Dishonest, deceptive, misleading business.

Great tasting South Indian street food at reasonable prices. We requested extra spicy food and were very happy with the spiciness of our food. My new favourite, is the Vanni Express, which is dosa stuffed with mince and served with spicy dips. The chef, Selvam, is friendly and welcoming. Lots of parking and easy access to the food van out at Gunghalin oval.
