We Are Explorers

My review of my trips to the blue mountains with we are explores is absolutely amazing. Well organized, very professional and kind people! the owner Henry was so kind to borrow me a tent and a sleeping mattress because all my camping gear is left behind in Denmark. Furthermore a little story about Jack Anderson the professional photographer. I was so stupid bringing the wrong lens when we walk out for night shots, when we came back to the camp he was so kind to walk all the way back so I could get some shot of the milky way with the correct lens. Just an example how willing they are to go that extra mile to make everyone happy. If you have a little adventure inside you I'll highly recommend everyone to try en excursion with we are explores. Its just a matter of time before I'll book my next trip with them.Best Casper Sparholt

I couldn't have been more happy about my trip into the Grose Valley with WAE! The guide and photographer were both friendly, knowledgable and fun to be around. They both went out of their way to ensure that all trip goers were comfortable, safe and prepared for the trek. There was a great overview of camp essentials done by our guide Dylan (i.e. safety knowledge) and a run-down of efficient and weight-smart packing techniques/tricks. The photographer Jake was incredible....super knowledgable about wilderness photography (and spending time outdoors/camping in general), and keen to help everyone get their cameras set up to proper settings for the shots. He provided lots of helpful tips for shooting outdoors, and was very understanding of the variety of photography skill levels of the trip members. I would strongly recommend trips with this company (and already have) and I will be keeping an eye out for more hiking and outdoor adventures with WAE!! Thank you Henry, Jake and Dylan for the incredible experience... you're legends. :)

We are Explorers delivers an experience like no other. A wonderful weekend away exuding a fun and friendly atmosphere mixed with the sense of adventure whilst providing a vast array of knowledge in photography and wilderness skills. Having professional guides and photographers provided an excellent masterclass combined with new found friends made it an unforgettable trip. It was such a supportive environment and I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone!

The We Are Explorers Wilderness Photography Escape was truly awesome. Convening in the Blackheath carpark, I had no idea of the weekend I was in for. It was to be an action-packed two days of hiking through serene forest and striking mountains, with frequent breaks to swim in secluded creeks. The stunning scenery made for the perfect opportunity to practice photography, under the talented eye of photographer Jake Anderson. One highlight was learning how to take pictures of the starry skies, under which we then slept. We were accompanied by our fantastic guide Dylan, whose knowledge and passion for the Grose Valley shone through. After less than 32 hours, we surfaced back to civilization, with far more than a weekend’s worth of stories. Henry, Jake and Dylan each did an outstanding job of making the trip thoroughly enjoyable, and I am entirely grateful for such a memorable adventure.

Henry, Ross & Trav were legends. Kangaroo provided. City slickers were schooled in the ways of the canoe. The open mindedness of the eclectic group made the weekend. Vegos be warned, the medieval feast was not for the vegan minded.

Thoroughly recommend these guys! We were in great hands with Jake & Dylan. Well organised, the terrain was challenging but beautiful and at all times felt supported. Both Jake and Dylan have an easy nature for sharing their knowledge and experiences. Will be looking for more adventures with your team in the future

Track was harder than anticipated but #weareexplorers crew were amazing! Supportive, entertaining, full of great stories and so knowledge, and totally had our backs. The stunning constantly changing scenery and special locations you found for us made all the stairs totally worth it! Keen for more adventures with you guys

I did the Wilderness Photography Escape, which was a 2 day/one night adventure. I'm an absolute beginner in photography and with the help of Jake I got some really good shots, including learning some skills with astro photography, that I will be able to build on.Dylan was brilliant, he was enthusiastic about sharing his love and knowledge of envuronment. I highly recommend this company, I had a fantastic time with a group of like minded people in a stunning location.

The depth of information was about the right level for an introductory navigation course, I was able to take away a lot of new tools to use to assist with my navigation without being bombarded with too much to take in over such a short time, all the required gear was provided by Dylan and the location was great and really inspiring to wanna get out there and get amongst it all. I loved how the self guided navigation challenge on day 2 forced me to really think about everything I had learned the previous day and start linking little bits of info together until finally the penny starts to drop
