OZ Design Helensvale

By far the worst company I have eve dealt with. Ordered a couch about 3 months ago, was told it would be here by November but got delayed a total of 5 times. I never once got a call or email to tell me it was delayed, I had to reach out to them every time. Finally got my couch and there's a stain on it. $3000 spent with this company I couldn't even get what i paid for. Also the WORST customer service ever!!!!!! I hope your store gets closed down!

I will never shop at Oz Design again - I thought we were purchasing better quality furniture, well no. First delivery damaged, second damaged and third - by this time I was really *****.They advised each time furniture has been quality checked, how can this be when screws and hinges are missing and shelves are missing screws, and more faults.We have just had our 4th TV unit delivered and finally we are willing to accept.The whole process has been on going since June.

I first purchased a Tempest sofa in late 2019, in January 2020 I complained of major faults and was expected to receive a replacement within 6-8 weeks. 6 months later I still hadn’t received my replacement but was still being refused a refund. I ended up accepting a store credit but have since have had issues with major faults with my Hamlet sofas also, once again I am being refused a refund and am being expected to accept another store credit to purchase a 3rd sofa. Customer service has been extremely poor with no consistency and very little care has been taken to make sure facts are correct in emails. I would strongly advise against purchasing sofas from this company.

I purchased a house full of furniture from Oz Design Helensvale with the expectation that if I spent good money, I would get good quality furniture in order to pass down to my children. This is how the items were sold to me.This has not been the case. I have purchased the full set of Abbey furniture to which the white dining table legs started rusting. I was told that they would not be covered as they are out of their 1 year warranty and that replacement would be $500.00 per leg. They are deteriorating dramatically. Very disappointed in the product. Since my complaint, the other legs to the buffet and tv cabinet have now got surface rust. Not to mention the rust marks on my tiled floors.

The store manager at Oz Design Helensvale is quite possibly one of the worst customer service people I have ever dealt with. He really lets his team down. The ladies that work there are helpful and great to deal with but his aggressive behaviour is very concerning. I have dealt with him both in person and over the phone and his customer service is appalling. Not only does he speak down to his customers he also speak badly of his staff and head office in front of customers. He is argumentative and has no regard for fixing issues with delivery or damaged deliveries. Unfortunately I have had to deal with him twice and I will never shop with them again. My order arrived damaged and when I was given a store credit to use he refused to allow me to use the credit. I now have $800 of worthless credit and an unhelpful person to try to sort it out with. Yelling at customers at his store is so unprofessional and threatening customers. Not a good look for the store or OZ DESIGN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The lovely ladies in this store in Helensvale are unfortunately let down by the most horrible store manager. How this unhelpful, aggressive individual still has a job is beyond explanation.After a $10,000 purchase and and issue with the delivery caused 100% by this manager the head office offered a resolution for the damaged items only for the store manager to refuse to fulfill the head office arrangements and even slandering his staff and company in the store.Office of Fair Trading now have a formal complaint.

UPDATE - One month later! We are still dealing with Oz Design. We still do not have a table. They will not give us a refund as requested for the faulty table. We only get to email one person , Samantha, from customer care and will not get put through to higher management to help sort this out. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. You do not want to go through what we have gone through.I will never buy from Oz Design again! After the purchase, it has been nothing but a nightmare. The dining table we were given has a vein in it which has become dangerous. It is peeling up with a sharp edge to touch. If you ran your hand over the table you could get cut.Customer care agreed to have it fixed. But that is a far as we have got with them in over 2 months. The store, customer care and the warehouse do not seem to be able to communicate with each other, and they will all pass the buck on to each other.My wife gave up a day of work to wait at home for the table to finally be picked up and no one arrived. Trying to sort it out between customer care, the store and the warehouse was very stressful. We still have the faulty table!! I have requested a refund as I do not want to deal with their company any further. They have disregarded, and completely ignored, my request.Not impressed at all with how this company operates and I will not be recommending them to anyone.

Quite possibly the worse experience I've had buying furniture. I will not be spending another dollar in that store. You will first wait a very long time to be served by the most arrogant Store Manager I have ever met, who likes to prance around the store on his phone looking busy. When I bought the console I had my eye on he informed me it was in Sydney and it would take 2 weeks to arrive. I phone up at 2 weeks and I'm informed by one of the ladies that the console is actually in Melbourne and will take another 3 weeks to arrive. We go to pick it up only to realise that it was the wrong console that was ordered. Speechless...

I was pretty angry today waiting ages for a picture to arrive. I finally went to have a look and all it was just a cheaply made canvass picture, once again from China even though I specifically requested one with either glass or at the very least perspex which when enquiring about this picture months ago I was told it would be. The ladies would rather talk amongst themselves than give good service. No apology was given for not getting the correct photo with perspex or glass she simply just walked away and carried on talking. You wonder why shops close down.

Absolutely shocking customer service!! They lock you in to your purchase with a no cancellation clause on locally made furniture . The delays are ridiculously extensive and del date is way past what they quote you. There is no correspondence unless you keep calling. They take no ownership or responsibility for the delays and blame everyone else but themselves.
