Phenomenal studio with a great owner who’s more than happy to accommodate for different needs. I’ve been back many times and hope to work with Steve and The Chiron Room many more times.

The owner was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, great little studio and well located. Prices are competitive and it was spacious enough for my video shoot. Would highly recommend.Something to note is that the dressing room and toilets are upstairs and it might not be accessible if someone has mobility issues. There is a café/office next door, so it might get a little bit noisy during lunch time and if you are filming, take that into consideration. I was able to fix all that in post though.Parking might be an issue, so come in early enough to locate one in the vicinity.

brilliant space to work in for studio photography! Tall ceiling for overhead light setups + clean cyc wall + available constant light + polyboards, what more could you ask for? Much appreciated for the spacious make-up station and changing area. A big thank you to Stephen who is super friendly and quick to respond to any questions and enquiries. He is also ready to help any creative set up the lights to achieve the look they want to achieve. There is also street parking available with nearby cafes.

Being a Photographer for over 10years I can easily say this BeSt studio in Melbourne.Not only does it have high ceilings, lots of space & a second floor (make up/changing room upstairs) but it has easy parking right at front.My model immediately felt relaxed and comfortable from the moment she was welcomed by Steve (the owner).It actually made my job go so much smoother.The prices are competitive and there is a great coffee shop next door.I'll be back for sure.

Uncomfortable comments were made by Steve the owner, read before booking! My partner and I booked the studio last Wednesday for a TFP shoot, during the shoot unsolicited comments about my partners breasts were made by the studio owner, as well as creepy comments being made towards our model.I confronted Steve the owner via message, but didn’t even receive the courtesy of an acknowledgment of wrong doing. If you are female identifying and are looking to book, just know this isn’t a safe space, and photos may be taken by the owner for “promotional purposes”, which is justified when it is wide photos of the space, but a little more than creepy when he steps in mid shoot to get a close up portrait of our model without asking.There seems to be very little care from Steve about the offence caused, for similar budget & size definitely check out Hire & Fire Studio, as they’re allot more established (and have allot more gear that is included in the hire price), and has been a safe space to do shoots with female talent in my experiences.Comment to owners response: I personally find it quite difficult to understand how you are attempting to portray yourself as being conscientious of criticism and willing to change, and yet make a lengthy diatribe to try and explain your actions as being not really that bad.I’m not looking for a refund or any financial compensation at all, and have little desire to respond to every point made, I feel I have a good judgment of my partners feelings about this occurrence, based on the discomfort she expressed to me. This was a real experience and I hope this incident can be a learning experience we can just move on from.

The best studio in Melbourne! Has everything and anything you need. Very accessible via transport/car, cafe next door, all equipment included, affordable and the owner Stephen is an absolute delight to work with. Would recommend to any creative in Melbourne!
