I now feel I know a whole lot more about my camera and how to capture those great photos.I know there is so much more to learn but understanding my camera is a great place to start. I can't recommend one of Rick's workshops enough. I am a beginner with my first DSLR and learnt so much. Follow up exercises and other bonuses mean you can put into practice what you learnt on the day. You won't regret enrolling in one of his courses. 10/10.

A brilliant, information-laden day course which has helped me greatly understand my camera and settings that I had previously thought too challenging to use. Rick has the knack of explaining things in a logical, easy to understand manner, and he has many great stories that he shares along the way.

Great introductory course, very informative and engaging. I learnt a lot and found Rick very easy to listen to and I got a lot out of the day. Highly recommend this course to others.

Rick is a focussed ,clever photographer who has the ability to impart his knowledge acquired over many years. He is also a nice bloke with a good sense of humour.I enjoyed all aspects of our workshop. It was well organised, flowed well and covered a significant amount in a short time though at no time did I feel overloaded with information.Having the handout booklet summarizing the day's teaching was very helpful. The handout booklet is well written in simple terms that even a beginner can understand. The book summarised all that had been taught during the workshop so my notes were supernumerary. I would suggest to other students to not worry too much about taking notes as the written information Rick provides covers it all :) .Putting theory with practice is always an excellent way to teach and Rick has certainly mastered that.Rick is also a patient person with his students and doesn't mind questions at any time. In fact he conveys a willingness to teach at the individual's rate of learning which I appreciated greatly.I highly recommend Rick Budai to anyone wanting to further their photographic skills and knowledge.

Rick really knows his stuff, and communicates complex concepts in a way that anyone can understand. After spending a day with him and 2 other like-minded people I came away with a much better understanding of what my camera could do, as well as when and how to use some of the more advanced features.

Rick is a great subject teacher. He ensures that you understand what he is teaching and makes learning very easy.His courses are interesting and the content will allow you to get into your photography with a good understanding of all the aspects of getting great photos. I will be returning to do more workshops with him.

I have just completed Rick's one day long exposure class with him at Liffey Falls. I enjoy Ricks classes because he really knows his stuff and this class size was small (3-4 people) and so you get expert one on one quality practical attention. I admire Rick's patience and his notes are always very good.
