Steep 1.8km hike. The views are worth it, make sure you catch a sunset from up here. Also, hike to the other end of the summit to get a view of Mt buller.

Cracking hike. Take your time or smash it up the hill. Either way it's amazing views at the top.

Outstanding hike! Stunning views of Buller and the Mansfield shire, as you traverse all around the Timbertop peak. <3h from start to finish (carpark, up and loop the summit, then back down). Reasonably steep- the walk up is quite challenging if you don't have a good fitness base

Awesome little hike or trailrun and a better day with even better views for sunset, but even sunrise would be great. Love the landscape of the summit plateau! And with all those burrows along the summit loop it could even be a good wombat spotting adventure.
