The ONLY fish & chips shop I visit in Melbourne and have been dining here for years. Wide vegan selection. The Original Vish and Sakura Prawns are the highlight. Stuart, the owner has got to be one of the loveliest business owners I've ever met.

Hands down the best fish and chip spot you’ll ever hit up, don’t let the size of the place fool you because the food packs a mighty punch. I will say, that I’m a vegan and am super enthusiastic about the entire vegan menu and always look forward to coming in and trying something new. And yes - the vegan fish and chips really do hit the spot, geniuses over here go give it a visit!

Northcote Fish & Chips have various seafood options, mock seafood (vegan versions), snacks and deserts. The staff are extremely friendly and appear to care about accommodating customers desires from my experience. I believe the food is very tasty (even the mock seafood). I would recommend for those around Northcote.

Really enjoyed my meal l was going to get take away, however the friendly vibe changed my mind and l dined in. The staff are doing a good job, all customers were treated like valued regulars. The food tasty and well portioned. My salad was fresh and plentiful, the dill dressing was just right. The battered whiting was melt in your mouth and the chips crisp. I tried a potato cake and the batter to potato was spot on. Thank you

Best fish and chips going around! Big fan of the chip butty to the point that my wife has made a photo of one the contact picture for me in her phone. The Vish and the snacks are delicious. Thank you for having a vegan menu :)

Definitely a notch up from the ordinary, vegan versions of the complete menu and even a proper cocktail as an aperitivo before having the tasty food. We travelled from the countryside to check this out and it was worth it!

This place is amazing. I only tried the vegan options (prawns, calamari, crab sticks) but it was delicious, lovely batter and crumb and deep fried to perfection. Chips were yummy. I wasn’t a fan of the ‘oysters’ (button mushroom stuffed with wakame battered and fried) but that’s just me. Next time I want to try the vish.

It's not bad! There's a real novelty to a fish and chip shop that has a vegan menu. The vegan calamari is excellent. They have some vegan options for battered fish fillets, I tried the Fresh Vish" but I didn't love it. It tastes fine
