Subaru Hobart Service Centre

Unbelievable how they resolved the problem, I changed my air filter one month ago and in the service they change again. I come to the shop to ask why they change cabin air filter and the guy says to me Why didn't you tell us before? I will take a photo and send it to you to prove that it was dirty" How is it possible that one month later the cabin air filter will be dirty?"

The list of inexcusably poor customer service experiences we’ve encountered here is rather long. From difficulty getting thru to the call centre, not being phoned back when I was told I would be, booking the incorrect service as their records were incorrect, not updating my contact details despite me asking 3 different times, delays fixing the recall, and most annoyingly, being made to wait for long periods at all but one of the services over the last 4 years, we’re now done with this place. The vehicle services themselves have been fine, and the sales centre was good when I made the purchase in 2018, but the customer service at the service centre (or complete lack thereof) is atrocious. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such ongoing terrible customer service from any service provider (Telstra, Medibank even after the data break, Centrelink, any bank I use, any state or federal government department, my insurance provider etc..Jetstar might be the closest actually). On this occasion I was told when booking that the car would be ready by 2, when dropping it off I was told it could be as late as 3 but they’d contact me to let me know, arriving at 2:40 after not being contacted and being told it shouldn’t be too long but yet it’s not ready at 3:50. There seems to be almost no care factor here and that’s what’s probably the most disappointing thing. I’d recommend supporting a local independent mechanic if possible.

Outstanding customer service! 5 Star!Halfway between Wynyard and Hobart, all of the warning lights on our 2021 Outback were activated - highly stressful having to drive for 1.5 hours not knowing what was wrong and if we would make it into Hobart. Thankfully we did!We drove straight into the Service Centre where the service team immediately took control - even though they were very busy and close to closing.The issue was isolated in no time and rectified by 0830 next morning.Before I left the Service Centre, Callum showed me the cause of the malfunction and how to fix it if it occurs againBrett, Tim, and Callum were polished, professional. Their immediate attention to our issue and their personalised service will be long remembered.We were able to return home that afternoon, on schedule, and the Outback performed brilliantly again.A huge shout out to Brett, Tim, and Callum.Clive and Wendy BarrettWynyard

Air bag recall, booked in November. Apparently urgent but takes till April to get it done. Told it'll be done by midday. Drop car off in the morning (bwfore 8:30 as requested) , told it'll be ready by 3pm, come back at 2:45 to see how it's going, they haven't started....Don't come here unless you really have to.

We have to wait more than a month to book a date for service even for customers holds warranty and cap price service. Unprofessional receptionists. They don’t know how to talk to customers, how valuable even single customer. Never recommend subaru hobart and their service center which they called performance automobiles. I am gonna make a complaint to subaru Australia too about their dealership coz there is no point if they can’t provide a service on time for people who hold the warranty.

I’ve recently two warnings lights come on after changing a flat tire in my Forrester. We have followed the instructions in Subaru owner’s manual which suggest one of the warning lights could be a serious issue and to call the dealer immediately.I called this morning to be told while someone might not be able to fix the car today it would be looked and at a minimum we would be provided with advice. I thought great that sounds reasonable.I live a 2 hour round trip from the only Subaru service centre in Hobart. I arrived this morning to a young woman who didn’t identify who she was or what her role was.After explaining the above I was flatly told we wouldn’t been seen today. I was asked what the PSI of the tires was. I didn’t know as my partner had checked the tires and I was unable to get a hold of him. I was told twice I would need to inform the service centre what the PSI of the tires was (while actually in a service centre) before she would help.Despite no one looking at the car, the young woman told me it was safe to drive and I would have to wait six weeks for it to be looked at.Not only was this extremely poor customer service I left the service centre not knowing if my car is actually safe to drive with two young children. Incredibly frustrating to be told via phone to bring the car in and then be turned away without help.

Car booked in for mirror calibration by smash repairer. Phone call telling us how they were snowed under. Explained this has resulted in missing doctors appointment. Was assured car would be good to go tomorrow. Next day another call. Can't do it before tomorrow. Their phone intro says they've been serving us for fifty years." Well this isn't service in my book. Had we known what their service was like

Fast and efficient service. Friendly staff. Will be getting my XV serviced here again .
