Sandgate Hearing

For many years I have had to use hearing aids. It has not been a pleasant experience until I visited Sandgate Hearing. My first contact was with Kathy, a very friendly lady and after explaining my problem fitted me in to see Ronnie.Ronnie read my reports from previous Audiologists and I explained my hearing problems. A couple of days previously I had my ears vacuumed by a Dr and I was not happy. Ronnie looked at my ears and found there was still a large amount of wax blocking them.Ronnie looked at my Phonak aids and when he started to remove the back of the aids to clean them the insides were full of dust. Just cleaning the aids has given me a new lease of life and better hearing. I can honestly say none of the other audiologists have cleaned them in that way.I have another couple of appointments with Ronnie to have new plastic inserts instead of the domes.After reading reviews on the website I can totally agree why they have given Ronnie 5 Stars.

My elderly father urgently required his ears cleared due to wax build-up.Kathy at the front desk made the process very easy when organising his appointment as my father required additional care needs to attend. Sandgate Hearing were very accommodating of these needs.Ronnie was very informative and gentle during the microsuction process - as my father previously had found these to be a very painful experience for him. My father had a hearing test completed as well. My father is now a new man!Exceptional, friendly customer service, excellent value - will definitely be back when assistance is required again +++++

A great service. Had the hearing test and Ronnie reset my aids, explaining everything in detail. He then took me through the use and care of the aids, which taught me a lot!Could not be more pleased!!!

I never realised how bad my ear canal was blocked. I have only had one good hearing ear for the past 40+ years due to an acoustic neuroma operation and since 1981 have been completely deaf in my right ear. Several months have passed recently where my left ear had deteriorated, and I was hardly hearing at all. A doctor diagnosed a wax buildup, and I went to Ronnie who removed the excess wax very carefully and skilfully ….. I cannot believe the difference !! I feel like I am hearing things I have not heard for years ! I was ecstatic and feel like my whole hearing has been restored ! I even shed a few grateful tears. Every person should have this procedure, especially as we get older our hearing can deteriorate and needs looking after. This procedure has been a new lease of life for me and an unbelievable help ! The service I received here has been outstanding. Ronnie went way beyond the call of duty on many occasions to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges with my hearing aids. The Lyric is a game changer being such beautiful analogue natural sound without charging or doing anything and is 100% invisible which means a lot to me. It took many permutations to overcome initial skin irritation and migration out of one ear. The final way he put the Lyric together worked! Music at home, nature, people’s voices etc are so much clearer which is providing me with a better quality of life.Ronnie is lovely and Kathy who does reception and admin is fun and helps a lot with the pragmática. Thank god I didn’t go to a large chain store!!

Ronnie is very professional and thorough, with a lovely gentle manner. He explained the different hearing aids so I could make an informed decision on which aids were best for me. My new hearing aids are very comfortable to wear, the sound is great and I now enjoy wearing them. Kathy is always very friendly when I go in too.

Ronnie and Kathy are fantastic. I just visited them today: they have exemplary expertise and customer service. Kathy and Ronnie went out of the way to help my father-in-law. It felt like visiting a friend. So thoughtful and excellent in what they do. They are recommended to anyone who needs an excellent audiologist and customer service simultaneously. They are the best in Brisbane

Thank you so much for helping my 84 year old mum she used to struggle because the previous hearing place had not set her hearing aid properly but now through a thorough examination has fixed the whole problem, high recommend seeing Ronnie and the team
