Bow Hair and Makeup

I give 5 stars because google won’t let me give 6!! I have had my hair done at Bow for about 3 years now. Natalie offers all the things you expect in a top quality salon. An excellent cut, brilliant colour but in addition to this she and her team create a lovely environment. Where everyone feels welcome and at ease. The salon is a little slice of heaven and I’m so thankful for it.

Love, love, love team Bow! Have had the pleasure of the best make up ever by Nat, and every wash/cut/blow dry from Apprentice through to Senior stylist has been bang on, everytime. I take my kids here too. Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, outstanding cutting and great service. Ohh, annnd they are a Sustainable salon, with super high levels of recycling, care about the chemicals used and they offer beautiful refillable shampoos and conditioners. Can't go past them.

I had the pleasure of having my hair done by Natalie this week. She was absolutely lovely. Really thorough with the consult and did an amazing wash, cut and style. Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you and your lovely staff next time.

I had my makeup done by Natalie at Bow. It seems like Bow are just as wonderful at makeup as they are at hair. Natalie was really kind and understanding; I had recently had a bad experience with another makeup artist at a different salon and so I was nervous about the outcome. She was very patient, explained everything, checked I was happy the whole way through, wasn't pushy and listened to all my concerns and requests. On top of that, the products used were lovely and looked great. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will be coming back. Thank you Bow, you made my night!

Nat has such an amazing team working with her at Bow. I always walk our feeling fresh and beautiful, happy with the service I receive. I have been getting my hair done at Bow for over 3 years. I will be forever grateful that Nat had a cancellation and I was able to have an appt with her to have my makeup done for a wedding. Nat was really attentive and asked me what I was thinking and then gave me advice on what she thought. The result was amazing and I received so many lovely compliments. I am someone who hardly ever wears makeup but she made me look and feel so glamorous with a really natural look. Thank you so much and I will be back again.

Really disappointed. This salon had been highly recommended to me by quite a few people, but it was one of the worst experiences ever. I had booked with Natalie, but when I came in another hairdresser whose name I didn’t catch seemed to be mine instead (I know her name definitely wasn’t Natalie).Her recommendation sounded good so I went with it, but it was a disaster after.She said she would do balyage which I’ve had done before, but they were just a full head of brassy foils all over. I agreed to a treatment, which I never received as I literally only spent 5 minutes at the basin having colour quickly washed out and no treatment I’ve had is that quick. They argued I did have it when I went to pay and questioned it, but I was in such a rush for school pick up that I just paid.My hair cut was uneven, with long and short bits, fringe wasn’t even touched even though I asked for it to be fixed, and my colour was a disaster.I sat in the chair with freezing, dripping wet hair for 20 minutes whilst one girl ate her lunch at the table in the middle of the salon, my own hairdresser casually blow dried some other clients hair without even checking in on me. When I interrupted her after 15 minutes to say I had to leave soon (this was 2 hours in with only a few foils and wet hair to show for it), and asked what was happening with my colour, she said a toner would be put on.Meanwhile the girl kept eating her lunch. They weren’t busy. There was a weird conversation when lunch girl finished and when to get my toner, she kept coming back saying all the colours were out of stock (like 5 times). So it seems like the one intended wasn’t even in, nor were alternatives.There was ZERO communication with me throughout.Toner was on for 5 minutes; given the level of brassy yellow in super dark hair even I know that wasn’t long enough. No proper wash or condition, no head massage.They only got into gear when I said I had to leave in 20 minutes for pickup, 3.5 hours after I got there.Then I got hit with a bill for nearly $400. I had booked in for a $270 colour and cut.4 weeks later the “toner” has gone after just one wash ( and I use oribe products so it’s not my shampoo), and im left with brassy chunky hair that is uneven and a wonky fringe.So disappointed and mad. I felt like the staff just really took advantage of the owner not being there to run a shoddy operation, and really mad that I paid more for such a poor outcome that was even more expensive than the expensive salon I was looking to move from.I can’t afford to fix my hair for a while now as this has left my purse quite bare, and I do not trust salons that want to “fix” it, that’s never for free and who can afford to throw good money after bad.If you’re looking to go here, perhaps check 5 times that you’re getting the owner and make sure you leave at least 4-5 hours.I feel there should be more regulation in the hair industry, there’s no recourse for this.

I've been coming to Bow for over 4 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair! Nat is a magical hair wizard when I initially went in for a massive colour correction. My hair has been the best it's ever been thanks to the care and advice from the team.The salon is cute and quirky (I'm regularly tempted to sneak some cuttings from all of the plants!)All staff are amazing and you're made to feel so welcome from the moment you step in the salon.I recently moved over an hour away and refuse to go anywhere else!Thanks Nat and team - I always look forward to my visits!

Bow Hair are amazing! I've been coming to Bow for over a year and always leave the salon super happy with colour, cut & wash. Hannah and the rest of the team at Bow are super lovely and always do an amazing job. They have an eye for detail and can explain hair lingo in a way that's easy to understand so that you get exactly the cut and colour that you're looking for. Great prices, too!!

Very disappointed.I had been a customer before and I went in to tidy up an undercut which took 5min and they charged me $22.I other well known and good hairdressers I’ve paid $5-10.Definitely feel ripped off and will never go back there.
