Meat is not cheap and thanks to supermarkes is tough and flavourless. I found this young couple 3 months ago wanting a special gift for a wealthy someone who did me a good turn.I chose a 4kg joint of ribs on the bone and asked the butcher to rehang it for me for another 12 days.Not a problem. Apparently that beef was the best my wealthy friend had ever had.Today I treated my wife and I to a 25cm thick sirloin and 3 lamb loin lamb chops. $22 I'm sure cheaper than Coles and Woolies, but, so tender and the chops particularly juicy and guess what, tested like lamb.Support this family even if its for a special occasion.

I have dropped in to the Gladstone Butchery each time I’ve been on the Mid North Coast and each time the meat has been exceptional.This time I cooked the Cattlemen’s Rib (with limited resources) and it was superb. Very tender even though I cooked it to medium/well!!!Whatever they are doing - please keep doing it!
