Not a great place at all. Has had Reno's lately and has decent happy hour, but the staff are very disrespectful and unreasonable so its not worth the hassle unless you really need the cheap drinks but probably better across the road at the gal, the staff are nicer

Didnt stay in the hotel just went for a meal out a few times. Great place to go for all occasions. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Food is delicious and to a great quality. Staff are friendly and pricing is fair. Great big TV's and live music too.

this is a place to rest your head in a busy part of newcastle.the folks working are very friendly and the venue seems nice enough.the room was clean enough, however, the smell inside the room was awful. in fact, after staying here i was unable to properly breath for several days because my sinuses were in such rough shape.we got a great deal on our room and sort of goes to show, you get what you pay for.

For a rather expensive steak by any measure, I'd expect it to be cooked as requested and served looking far better than a general $25 pub rump. Having a 400gm eye fillet on the bone was what I ordered and was nice, but unfortunately I've had far better for the same price and had to send a $60 striploin back as it was very overdone. Again, I'vehad better pub rumps that are as impressive, without hurting the hip pocket for double. The bar service was great and the kids area and courtyard was perfect for the occasion. Maybe it was the chefs on the day, but think 4 out of 5 is fair.

The new band room out the back is excellent, the sound system is really nice and it feels very intimate. The bar staff are lovely and the bands speak highly of the owner, which is great to hear they're music fans too. A great live music venue

We had a big group, with oldies and kids and everything in between, for a birthday do, and the service was great. Helpful, attentive and happy to put up with all of our questions and requests.Really want to single out Chloe, who was the most delightful helper we could ask for.

I was not here for the hotel but for the restaurant, ordered the Angus burger, ingredients are great quality, however the burger patty was a little dry and it lacked in the sauce. This meat should be cooked to just under medium so the residual heat cooks the patty the rest of the way as you take it to the table.

Food was terrible. Menu advertised a seafood platter with fresh oysters. We received a seafood platter of frozen then deep fried yuck with no oysters. When we questioned where the oysters were the staff informed us we don't do oysters". The manager offered us fresh prawns to supplement then brought us a small bowl warm defrosted prawns. Other meals were poor at best. Pasta was oily and and calamari main was frozen then deep fried as well. Wouldn't recommend or go back."

We were there for a party, staff & food were ok, sadly nothing is cheap these days, found beer prices a bit hexy, would I go again, maybe????
