I am very happy with the all staff and special with Antonella. They very kind people and always smile.l am happy with my colour Antonella fix my hair and l have a nice blood colour!!

First visit, but certainly not the last, visit to this local salon. Joe did an amazing job fixing the worst haircut for decades from another salon. He listened to what I wanted so we achieved a great end result together. Staff were fantastic with my 2 young granddaughters who had to go with me today. I'm happy with my haircut for the first time in about 8 years. Great local salon, great parking out front. Better option than Edwardes St in so many ways

Once again, I reached out this morning to schedule an appointment. I wanted the appointment to be scheduled for mid-February understanding that this salon is busy. No one has bothered to get back to me, and I am beginning to wonder why I am being treated this way. They have my phone number, as I used to attend this salon on a regular basis before the pandemic hit.I have great respect for Joe, and that's why this pains me greatly to have to write this. But Joe and his amazing business are being let down by the 'mean girl' vibes of Luana. If she takes an intense dislike to you, she will make sure you don't get booked in. I am not sure if Joe is aware of this. But this is not how you run a business. No attempt has even been made since December of last year, to even offer me an appointment to have my hair done. Not even one. No one has contacted me. Terrible service. If you wanted the business you would have bent over backwards to offer me a time to have my hair done.Very disappointing!!!My reaching out to you initially in December, should have been followed up with more effort in securing an appointment for me. It didn't need to have been in December. And when someone says that they will put you on a waiting list, that is just a polite way of saying that they don't want you in the salon. So please don't pretend and lie here, that you have made every effort to secure me an appointment. Not true!!! I then had to reach out the SECOND time to try and make any kind of appointment via IG, and this message was subsequently ignored as well. The reply that I eventually received to my IG message was just rude. A forced reply that was written, after it was discovered I had left a second review. This has all been handled badly by your staff. It has nothing to do with me. But your reply here is putting all the blame on me. I think the blame lies with certain staff members who refuse to make any appointments for me. Don't unfairly place the blame on me, for the incompetence that exists in your salon!!!

I have found my new stylist. Luana was so good: she listened looked at the photo I had taken with me told me what could and couldn’t be done today and then set about giving me the best cut I’ve had since pre Covid-19I am so happy and will be back

I’ve been coming to this hair salon for so long that I can’t remember when I first started! In fact I’ll only let Joe cut my hair and he seems to get it right every time! Not only do I trust his judgement but he is just like an old friend when I walk in and we pick up where we left off! The girls are like a bunch of girlfriends who are always accommodating with appointments and a listening ear to my daily work life lol My hair is in good hands and I can’t fault the salon or the girls at all! Thanks guys for another perfect cut and style … the new change is amazing ♥️

Just got back from my first hair cut at Unique hair design. So happy! I have been scared to go to the hairdressers for the last 3 years due to every time being unhappy. Last time I got my partner to cut my hair because I was so worried about going to a hairdresser again (bad idea). I will definitely be going to Unique hair design from now on! Joe looked carefully at my hair, he listened to what I wanted, he knew what would look good with my hair type, and best of all he cut it very well. I am one Happy customer, nearly gave him a hug at the end I was so grateful.

No matter which staff member you see, you won't be disappointed. A great team, a great vibe, and great value for money. I've been going there for 17 years, and I would never think about changing.

Excellent place to get a haircut. The owner, Joe, really takes the time and effort to come up with a haircut that'll suit you, even if - like me - you walk in not knowing quite what you want. I felt welcomed straight away and, unlike the other places I usually go, didn't feel like I was being rushed through and out the door, just for maximum profit. Instead, I felt like Joe's focus was doing as good a job as possible, with as much attention to good, friendly service as possible.This was my first time trying Unique Hair Design but won't be the last. Will be glad to make this my regular from now on.

For the last few months Joe has been working with my 5 year old child who has ASD and Sensory issues to gain his trust and develop and positive relationship with my child in the hopes my son will allow Joe to cut his hair. My son allowed Joe a few snips of hair on our last visit and it was the calmest he has ever been with anything being done to his hair. My son and Joe are still developing the relationship and hopefully soon my son will allow Joe to do a full hair cut but it's a wait and see type situation but this whole time Joe has been patient, supportive and engaging. Joe has my son's best interest at heart and has even attended my home to allow my son to be comfortable in his own environment. Joe has encouraged us to bring my son in to his salon just for a visit to help develop the positive relationship. Joe is truely amazing and caring hairdresser. I highly recommend Joe to anyone whose children struggle with sensory issues related to haircuts. We are so thankful and I know we will soon have Joe giving my son full hair cut. Thank you for your amazing support and patience Joe. You are honestly one of a kind
