Terrible customer service. Defensive service and not friendly at all. Shame as it was lovely to have a local book store. Will never shop here again!! And I love supporting locals so the fact that i wont says a lot!!

Unimpressed when I was welcomed into the store at approx 3.10pm on a weekend...and then 20 seconds later being told thatif I need any help to ask in the next couple of minutes because he was about to close. Why not wait a few minutes for me to leave before shutting shop? I may even have bought something!

Refusing to serve me without a mask (when I have a valid exemption - medical reasons and the fact I've had the spicy flu anyway) unless I'm standing on the street is disgusting treatment.

I went into buy a book and the lady behind the counter was talking on the phone while I waited patiently for a good five or so minutes for her put through my purchase...which she did while still talking on the phone. No thank you. Nothing. Appalling customer service. I won’t be back.

After having spent thousands of dollars at Ulysses, my most recent experience will never see me go back there again. I always have an ethos of supporting local, but the staff were so rude and dismissive on my most recent visit that I will probably stick to Amazon in the future as you get more assistance and pleasantry from the algorithm that suggests things for you!
