At low tide you can walk or rather negotiate a climb down the rocks from Gantheaume Point. Nice to see.

Dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point
A magic spot where you can search for dinosaur footprints on the rocky headland. The rocks are brilliant red contrasting against the deep blue sky & ocean. The footprints are only visible at a very low tide & you have to be prepared to fossick. Also the rocks are sharp & slippery so be very careful & wear decent shoes.

Dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point
If you walk down the path defined by the posts, you will find the replicas made out of concrete at the end of the path. To find the real ones, you will have to visit at a low tide. Turn right at the end of the pathway and rock hop to the area near the water. Happy hunting!

Absolutely no directions on exactly where to find them.Ridiculous considering they use it as a tourist promotion.Can only see them at low tide.

Really beautiful spot but even at low tide we were unable to find the dinosaur prints. There is no signage at all to direct you where to look.

I found the fake Dino footprints (pictured), but couldn't find the shore line real ones. My life is a failure.On the other hand though, there was a beautiful sunset view and bracing breeze. It was fun jumping around on the rocks whilst looking for Dino footprints.But beware: what you have been told about Dinosaurs is wrong. The Mesozoic was characterised by a much thicker atmosphere at sea level than is otherwise supposed. Many large Dinosaurs were only able to stand due to the atmosphere buying them up, and smaller dinosaurs were capable of powered flight.

Incredible spot and great place to view dinosaur footprints. Had a lot of fun hunting for them! Recommend the app.
