Camped here over easter weekend (7th-10th of April). The site wasn't too busy considering the long weekend and it being free - although this could be because the weather wasn't the best.Pros:- Lots of campsites to choose from; the ones near the toilets are packed but there are plenty closer the the main house. There is a paid quiet camping area (not sure about this as we didn't use this service). I think the grasses areas might be a bit windy as there isn't much cover but there are spots with cover available.- Drop toilets are available.- You can buy firewood from the main house ($15 per bag) - the owners are lovely too.- Heaps of 4wd tracks in the area ranging from beginner to experienced.- Erica runs a market and it is really lovely!Cons:- No phone reception (Telstra gets some).- No showers available if this is something you're after.- The surrounding towns don't have too much to offer in terms of getting supplies unless you travel further out to Moe ect. so pack what you need :)All in all this is great campsite! Would come again when the weather is nicer.

Great free campground and absolutely stunning and well maintained. Yes the road to the campsite is gravel but it would not be an issue for non 4wd cars. It has a long drop toilet but be mindful in the wetter months the campsites do become muddy. There are also two different campgrounds to choose from.

Just a small Heaven. All the elements of a Heaven are there that people imagine. Well maintained camp sites. Drop toilets are a bit challenging. Fire pit available.

A very tidy little campsite by the river. It gets busy pretty quick and people have a tendency to just camp anywhere, including the day visit area. The parking situation can be a bit hectic so car pool if you can. Campsite A is best suited for car camping only. If you've got a camper van or trailer use Campsite B.The toilets are drop toilets and you will need to bring your own toilet paper.

Beautiful and well maintained camp ground. Can get busy on public holidays. Worth to note that telephone reception is not strong.

Lovely free campsite near a stunning and serene river area. The area is VERY popular, it was packed with campers. I had such a beautiful time.Fire pits are scattered around. Has two drop toilets which were good throughout long weekend. There a couple of walking tracks around. The river area right next to camp is beautiful. People were on Paddle boats, inflateable floaties and small boats enjoying the water. It was truly serene. Lots of benches for families/groups to sit on. And BBQ stands.Area is 2WD friendly. FYI the photos where you see cars passing a stream/river - you DONOT have to pass that area to get to the camp. The camp is on the side via gravel road with NO crossings. The river place is an optional area for 4WDs to pass for fun. 4 wheel drives would drive to the Island" and chill there"
