Warringine Park
A must visit. An absolutely lovely area, from the mangroves stretching wide to the woodlands and other vegetation. The work and effort that has gone into the boardwalk throughout the park is incredible. A perfect place for a walk. We saw only a couple of joggers and a few people on bikes.Jack's beach was a great place to stop for a bite and a rest whilst looking out across the water. An interesting juxtaposition of the fractionation plant in the distance to the gorgeous surrounds.

A small oasis of bush...the nearest far away place during lockdown. Still, there is birdsong and trees, and somewhere to relax. Beautiful Yellow tailed Black Cockatoos, lizards, Rosella parrots. Nice.

A 4km return walk to Jack's beach. A well maintained boardwalk through the wetlands, mangroves, crabs, birds and just being in nature. Could do with some manmade shade. Especially over lookouts with benches where you can sit in some shade and enjoy soaking in the views and watching the birds. The vegetation is low with no shade along the boardwalk. Was lucky to have sun protection including an umbrella. Would have been very uncomfortable without the sunscreen, hats, sunnies and long sleeves.

There's an interesting mix of flora along the route through the park. The only fauna we saw were some birds and crabs. The path is almost completely flat, though it's reasonably long (about 3.5km one way) and there are no early exits. There is little in the way of shade, so be mindful of the sun.I read an estimated return time of 4 hours, which is out by a factor of 2 - at least - for anyone walking at a reasonably quick pace. Keen to return after there's been some decent rain - I imagine it'll look quite different.

Great place for a walk or bike ride. So much open sky and there are seats and viewing platforms at various points.

Lovely lighting late afternoon in summer. Well maintained trail with wide paths and boardwalk. Sightings of echidna, crabs, fish and skink. Mangrove along the creek.
