Bakery & Cafe – Banjo’s Hobart
Great variety of food, not sure I can say how friendly the staff are, I went at 1pm on a weekday, it was probably the busy hour, but I would expect more friendly and respectful customer service. The lady at the counter did not greet and serve in the most polite manner.Cleaning is also not the best, large size coffee lids ran out at the counter, and the one left had coffee spilled on it, it was disgusting, image picking up a lid and have your hands covered with someone else's coffee.Connecting to the Cafe's WIFI was also a bewildering and very complicated process, you have to download a software to your laptop which didn't end up opening :( I was hoping to do some exam revision there.

11/04/023 This place have good coffee and food but seriously staff need to learn some manners. Very very rude. Served by Ashmita and no greeting or small at all. U have to understand people are starting their day from a good coffee and food but ur negative attitude and rude behaviour is spoiling their whole day. Show some respect to ur customers otherwise close your business.

Great food etc.The only problem is the cold drinks. There is only the bare minimum available. Whenever I go, I buy a pie and a danish or similar and then go look for something to drink, find nothing, and then go eat my delicious meal disappointed and thirsty.Something like a couple of flavours of Bundaberg or even just a wider selection of the basic drinks would be great, as right now literally any random shop I walk into has a better selection.

Tried their curry scallop pie. Light curry flavour and plenty of scallops that weren't over cooked. Decent pie for the price you pay. Doughnuts are a bit too bready and dry for my liking. Will stick to the pies next time.

A wonderful array of tasty bakery treats, sandwiches and pies combined with your staples including bread rolls and loaves, Banjo's Bakery has everything you need.Maybe not surprisingly (for us mainlanders), bakery items in Tasmania taste so much better. Almost worth a trip to Hobart just for a pie :-)

A little expensive for what it is. The small pie was nice just no where near enough filling. The seeded roll was ok, the shop was filthy needs clean it looks like people are going back to oldWays since covid has been around for a few years

I had my second ever scallop pie at this bakery and it was the best bite of pie I've had since my last best bite - which was from a bakery in Auckland. The scallops were so juicy (extra cookie for sourcing fresh as sea scallops during non-peak season!!). If I ever move to Tassie it will be for this pie. Or maybe for the steak or the lemon curd lava cake from Hadley's Orient Hotel. Tassie has so many hidden gems x
