It’s the classic case of taking something perfectly good and ruining it. The old community vibe is gone replaced by a cold sterile environment with cold solid chairs instead of comfortable wicker chairs and lounge chairs. Service has become an afterthought. Wouldn’t be surprised if it changes hands before the end of the year.

Delicious Nasi Goreng from the new kitchen at Brew-Ha. Nice to see new lunch options, been a regular for ages.

Lovely cafe with an artistic heart. While my daughter was doing fundraising busking, I was wondering if the cafe store would think the playing sounds of Viola would be annoying or not. But they loved it and even posted a story about it. Amazing community sense!

My wife and I dined here for some brunch and ordered the Shakshuka and the smashed Avo. My wife didn't read the menu properly and her meal had olive dust on it (she really dislikes olives). After speaking to one of the staff she took the mean back and the chef remade it without the olive dust. The lady who served us was extremely polite and didn't charge us anything extra. The service at this cafe was outstanding. The fact they offered to do this without any extra charge from our mistake was so lovely. The food aswell.. oh my gosh!!! The best Shakshuka I have ever eaten!!!!! My wife LOVED the smash avo (minus the olive dust) aha! We will DEFINITELY be coming back here :)

Great coffee and food. The staff are friendly and attentive. Elliot makes a fabulous coffee and clearly enjoys his work. A wonderful cafe to take a break and relax.

This is a post only relevant to coffee, as I’ve bought it twice now at this location. Small cappuccino prepared by two different baristas over a period of a month.Very disappointing quality both times, likely a combination of bean quality and way of prep. Milk was overheated on both occasions and the overall taste was very poor. Below Aussie standards I reckon.

For coffee in Subiaco there isn't a bigger, older or better place than Brew Ha. With their courtyard, the front room and the large back room with the 3 big Australian newspapers available in quantity (try finding that anywhere else) I don't like being invited elsewhere. It happens but I can't wait to get back to the ambience and the friendliness of Brew Ha. And the superior coffee!!Today the space where they once roasted the coffee beans has been replaced with a state of the art kitchen. For anyone looking for breakfast in a coffee shop I suggest they check the menu and the prices and the food coming out of the kitchen. It's very good and the chef makes the occasional special with some added spices. Not for everyone but it is delicious. And to those who complain about no table service, imagine trying to find someone among the 200 or so who are often seated inside and out. They would need more staff and they still wouldn't cope. And lastly, my eternal gratitude to the staff, all young people who have to work very hard at times but they never lose their patience. After serving hundreds of customers every day with food and coffee (and not all customers are angels) they are still smiling, still happy. I remember being told the youth of today aren't as good as previous generations but this lot are the epitome of professionalism. There is no hospitality business on the planet that won't have an occasional problem (I should know) but after 50 years in the same location (give or take) I suppose if any place is going to run like clockwork it would have to be Brew Ha.
