Rural Enterprises

I found rural enterprises a few years back when I wanted to break into the Ag industry. They were very professional and supportive. I didn’t end up getting a placement myself as I came across a job through a family friend. My brother was looking to get back into the Ag industry and I referred him to rural enterprises. They quickly got him a trial placement that turned into a full time position! Just over 6 months on and he is thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks to the very generous referral system rural enterprises has I have just received my $500 pre paid Visa card! Thanks rural enterprises :)

I was looking for a job for my partner and I for seeding season and after being very unsuccessful, we found Rural Enterprises. We had put our request and our basic information on their website and got a call from one of their employees (Stuart) to have a chat about what we are looking for and what our background was. Although the fact that I had a lot of farming experience but my partner only had little, Rural Enterprises matched us with an employer within a day and I was on the phone with my new employer two days after the initial contact with Rural Enterprises.8 months later, we are still working on the same farm and loving it.For other future employees/employers, I can recommend Rural Enterprises very much as one of the great benefits is the very personal approach and they really put effort in matching you with the appropriate employer.We had a job within days and they know their employers very well. This made us feel at ease because they wouldn’t put you with a bad employer.In the past, we searched for jobs through Gumtree or other agencies but this was either very unsuccessful because we were just one the many candidates, didn’t hear back from the agency or we didn’t know where we going to end up. Rural Enterprises (RE) responded quickly to my online registration then with an initial phone interview where we discussed my background and I asked about my uncertainties for the roles.RE followed up by sending me some potential job matches to consider, then submitting my (out of industry) CV to my selected farmers who contacted and ph. interviewed me. I then accepted the job that I felt best matched my circumstances. RE followed up my progress early in each season and towards the end.Stuart and team have done an excellent job matching me up to great farmers, a harvest job and an interesting new area where I have now completed 3 enjoyable seasons that have increased my skills and given me good challenges with a sense of accomplishment.In a former (pre-retirement) life I was an employer in a different field with experience recruiting team members. Stuart, Emma and team have really understood the essential people relationships and characteristics needed to match up successful teams that are needed to complete seasonal work in regional areas.The Rural Enterprises team care about their clients and the team members they match up with them. I have found it works well for farmers and workers.

I reckon the services Rural Enterprises offers are really effectives. Stuart and his team organized me two different jobs already (harvesting and seeding) and both employers were second to none.After I first got in touch with Rural Enterprises it took only a few calls and emails and everything was sorted. I have used rural enterprises for the last 2 years to gain employment for the grain harvest. Both times I was put in contact with farmers quickly which resulted in me accepting a job offer. The families I worked for were great, providing a friendly happy work environment. I would recommend Rural Enterprises to anyone who has a difficult time to find farm work in Australia. Me and my partner had previously applied to many different job agencies and various job adverts, however to no avail. Then we decided to contact Stuart at Rural Enterprises and since we had previous heavy machinery experience with a harvest season behind us, he managed to offer us several different job opportunities for the seeding season. And within two days he had already set up a job for us. Absolutely loved the experience and will definitely use your services in the future when we are trying to land our next farm job here in Australia.

I applied for a harvest position through Rural Enterprises in 2021 and they did a great job of matching my skills to the requirements of the progressive innovative young farmer I worked with. I didn't need to return to Rural Enterprises in 2022 as I was offered a return position but would recommend them for anyone seeking work in the rural sector. As far as I could find they are the only agency specialising in rural employment.

Finding Rural Enterprise Australia for us was essential at the time, we were looking for work in WA for both of us and decided to make the call and see what they could do.It was the best decision we have made while on the road , the benefit of using their service was they had all the contacts and after spending a good amount of time asking us about our qualifications etc they had the info needed to match us up.They keep in regular contact and were extremely easy to communicate with , within a short time they had found a compatible Family with work for both of us and from there things happened very quickly.During our months stay at the farm they also kept in contact to see how we were going and encouraging us to send some photos in. We couldn't have been happier with the family/farm that they matched for us, we had such a wonderful time that we are heading back for harvest with the same family.When travelling around Australia finding work may not always land at your feet and sometimes we need to outsource, we cant recommend this Employment Specialist enough and look forward to working with them in the future.
