I was honestly so hesitant starting the SEA course. I was afraid I didn't have what it took to do what was needed.Kim was so so lovely though, & made everyone feel like we were all at the same level. Her bright & happy nature made it so easy to complete all the assessments, & I now have so much energy & motivation to start my business. 10 stars!!!

I took part in Small Business Training conducted by Kim Veale in January 2023. I can't recommend Kim highly enough as a business trainer. She is highly experienced, energetic, patient and assisted everyone in the class with bringing their business ideas to life. I recommend Business Foundations for anyone who is looking to start a small business.

I was referred to Business Foundations through Work Skill and completed the Cert III in Entrepreneurship and New Business with Kim as my business trainer. I must say this is by far one of the BEST courses i have ever taken! Kim was such a legend, and provided nothing short of an interactive, enjoyable, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere. All walks of life crossed paths in our course group and it was so nice to connect to local and interstate business owners with the same goals and aspirations. I highly enjoyed it, even the harder parts i thought i could never understand or get through. With Kim's encouragement and patient approach, i was able to understand everything the course provided and left feeling a lot more confident and assured in my business endeavours. I would highly recommend!

The Business Foundations Self-Employment Assistance Scheme far exceeded my expectations, the trainer we had for our December 2022 class was helpful and inspiring. We worked together as a class and developed our business plan from scratch. Anybody starting a small business out there thinking of going to Business Foundations would benefit from this service. 5 Stars!

The business entrepreneurship course presented by Kim Veale with Business Foundations is jam packed with information for small business startups. I have been in business for some years and found the range of subjects covered was really helpful. I will use this to revaluate how I run my business and plan for improvements.I would strongly recommend this short course to anyone setting up a small business.

I originally contacted Business Foundations for a session with a business adviser. They reached out promptly and suggested that I save my money for now and apply for the Self Employment Assistance Program. I have just completed the 4 weeks of training with Dee and I am blown away. With Dee's guidance, expertise and energy, I have completed my business plan. Now I have the opportunity to apply for the 12 month Mentoring Program and receive regular sessions with my own business adviser. I highly recommend Business Foundations as they genuinely want to help people to achieve their goals.

The Business Foundations training led by Kim has been valuable on too many fronts to count! The discussions and prompts gave me much clarity and confidence around my business idea and what I bring to a populated market, as well as the confidence from covering all the administrative bases (taxes, structure, licenses and regulations etc.)Perhaps equally valuable are the lessons by example in balance. The way the training is structured shows us how to be productive while respecting ourselves as humans. Kim's infectious energy and warmth shows that it's possible to be business minded while maintaining humanity, compassion and presence.

I needed some assistance with planning my independent online business and was recommended Business Foundations.Through their 4 week training program I have the knowledge and confidence to begin my business properly.The classes were welcoming and reminded me more of casual workshops than anything as rigid as an educational course, Although I had an extremely busy month on top of the classes, I was able to fit in the assigned workload from the class to my schedule. I had the pleasure of learning from Diana (Dee) who was quick to the point and let her personality lead the classes.One issue I had was respect for my identity with misgendering from both other peers and the instructor even though I had introduced myself at the beginning of the course and had my pronouns displayed during class. That part of the experience was alienating and made it difficult to get to really know the others there.Business Foundations is a useful stepping stone into launching your independent business that I would recommend to hopeful entrepreneurs who are not afraid to have their dreams challenged and dashed across the rocks.
