Nice venue, great French toast, shakshouka and warm salad. They have a 10% service charge added to the bill, which was surprising to note for a cafe. The coffee had a weird taste, I asked to check if it was almond latte, they confirmed it was, but it tasted weird. The staff was fine, but some points to note:- Taking a coffee order and when followed up after 10 minutes (cafe half full and a few waiting for take away coffee) the waitress said there is a backlog. She could have said that when she took the order- A additional person joined us and we moved to a new table, no menu offered to him until we asked for oneAs a coffee enthusiast and food blogger I have an appreciation for good coffee. I would return for the food but not the coffee. Rating is for food only.

We had high expectations of the food in Melbourne as it was our first time to visit but unfortunately we were disappointed by the breakfast at this placeThe chilli scrambled eggs plate wasn't great at all that my partner couldn't even finish it and that is very unlikely of himThe smashed avocado was average but the beetroot hummus on the side wasn't tasty at allThe service was good though and the atmosphere was nice

The most delicious sautéed cauliflower and a yummy hummus accompanied by feta, kale, pomegranate, just so fresh and so delicious! A slight critique, the cook on the cauliflower was a little uneven, some pieces were deliciously soft and so well seasoned and others were a little on the raw side. But as a whole, very yummy!! And the chilli scramble was apparently a win

Second visit and there’s still nothing I don’t like about this place. I love that the menu rotates seasonally so you can always try something new and deviating from my standard smashed avo order for smashed pumpkin was certainly something new for me! Loved the eggsOriginal reviewMy pick (the breakfast board) allowed the exciting opportunity to sample a bit of everything. Expect a bit of a wait (Prahran standard wait time) but it's well worth it. I'd recommend you hit the cake cabinet whilst you are loitering the sweet selection was bang on

Today we randomly checked out this cafe for the first time, nice venue with lots of sunshine streaming in through the windows, the service was a bit slow, maybe they were under staffed when we visited. Food was delicious, coffees took longer to arrive than the food. Coffee was nice!

Located in Prahran, Tall Timber was a cafe serving coffee and brunch meals. I’d been here a few times and every time my brunch experience was very positive; coffee was consistently great, and so was the food. On my last visit, we ordered their Supergreen salad with quinoa, almond and currants, as well as the porridge with roasted nuts, shaved coconuts and mixed berries. The supergreen salad was flavourful and crunchy; the porridge was hearty with fruity notes. Service was prompt and friendly.
