Best coffee in town for sure! Also had beautiful cherry ripe slice with coffee. This little post office/general store a must to visit in American River for their coffee and other day to day products. Great day out on Kangaroo Island.

After being messed around by our holiday rental host,My wife and I arrived in KI with no door code details and no phone reception.We basically drove to American River hoping to use someone's phone.We ended up at the Post Office where two lovely ladies helped us out to no end and refused to take any money offered for phone usage.Thank you so much ladies.

Australia Post - American River LPO
I sent a parcel from Jakarta to Austria, for some strange reason this parcel ended up at American River Post Office. The postcode was the same 5221 for the Austrian address. Obviously Indonesia Post is confused with Austria/Australia. I would like to thank the staff at American River for directing the parcel back to Austria where it arrived at the correct address.
