Desiderata Kangaroo Valley

Beautiful views and house! Our kids have a wonderful time feeding the goats! We had BBQ dinner at the deck, sipping a glass of wine and simply enjoyed the magnificent view. Even on raining days, we still managed to sit back, relax and watch a nice movie in the theatre with the kids. Vittoria was easy to communicate, and care taker Bob was great too! Thanks for your hospitality!

Desiderata Kangeroo Valley is set in the most tranquil setting with extraordinary views of the mountains and spectacular sun rises to wake up to. The house is homely, extremely comfortable yet luxurious and feels like home away from home. All your needs and more are provided and are well thought out. Vittoria and Norris are an absolute pleasure to deal with and we would absolutely recommend Desiderata Kangaroo Valley.

Our family stayed at Desiderata for 5 nights and felt like we could have stayed for longer! The house is absolutely stunning and has everything you need. We have a 9 month old baby which we didn’t need to pack much with us as there were toys, books, portable cot, bath tub, bouncer and more provided. We all loved sitting by the fire place enjoying each other’s company, however, what we loved the most was at 9pm every night we moved into the TV room to choose a movie from the wide range of DVD collection. The location of the house was perfect! So close to the shops in KV and an easy drive to Berry, Bowral and Gerringong. Overall, we couldn’t fault the place and cannot wait to come back.Again, thank you so much for opening up your home to the world and allowing us to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of Kangaroo Valley.

I recently spent a lovely couple of days at the property with 10 others and we only have positive things to say about it! The house was very well presented, and everything was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here! I was very excited about using the outdoor BBQ & entertaining area but we were there on 38 degree days, so there will have to be a next time :) Vittoria, the owner, is super accommodating and gave us plenty of details about the area, transport options, activities etc, she certainly covered all bases! We stayed in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley recently for a family reunion and birthday celebration and Desiderata was a perfect place to relax, unwind and appreciate the countryside and the house itself. The stand out features of the house are definitely the expanse of windows in the living area and the main bedroom. That was a real treat! Even the rain didn't dampen the atmosphere of the valley. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore the pretty towns dotted around the highlands. We even saw two (could be the same one) wombats in two days. I would definitely recommend Desiderata.

Last weekend our family stayed at Desiderata so that we could all attend our son's wedding on the Saturday in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley.This very spacious, comfortable & serene family home was the perfect place for our large group to be able to be all together which was all so so good.The enormous dining table was able to seat us all & the many areas on the verandahs gave us plenty of options to enjoy the very peaceful & tranquil green countryside.Everything that you could possibly want or need was there including outdoor games for the children.Would most definitely recommend this home especially as a place to stay for bigger family groups.It was wonderful in every way !!!

Just came back from four days in this Beautiful Holiday House. I must say we all had an Amazing time... from the moment u arrive at the front gate, you know you are in for a wonderful/relaxing escape. The home is Super Clean & the Views are Stunning... Vittoria & Norris are excellent hosts.. we highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone looking for a Kangaroo Valley Escape.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Desiderata, the views were amazing, and the place was just so serene and peaceful. So much space and freedom - with no neighbors (in close proximity).The kids had a blast running around the expansive lawn, playing frisbees, feeding the goats and playing hide and seek in the house.The kitchen had every equipment you need to cook up a storm. We loved dining on the deck while soaking up the views.The master bedroom was just beautiful with wraparound views overlooking the mountains, a terrace and a walk in closet.The house is luxurious yet it's so warm and cozy. And for three blissful nights, it was all ours :). Wish we could have stayed longer.Vittoria was lovely to deal with and provided loads of information about the local area.I don't know about other people, but I sometimes choose the accommodation first before the destination. And it is the case in this instance. The house is a destination in and of itself. Thanks for sharing it with us :)!

My family and I have stayed at Desiderata for our annual holidays over the last couple of years. We absolutely love the house and property. The view is spectacular and the owner has thought of everything- from the variety of movies and kids toys down to the kitchen that feels more like our home than a holiday home. The beds are comfortable and there is enough room that we all have our own space. The best part is the sense of peace and tranquility- love Desiderata Kangaroo Valley.

Just simply a pleasure to stay here. All amenities provided and of the highest quality.Plenty of room, ambient setting and the bonuses such as the open fire with heaps of kindling and logs and the games room was perfect.Communication was excellent with Vittoria and the overall experience pleasing.A short drive to Kangaroo Valley town and close to Berry.We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
