Leanne and the team from Hunter Dog Centre are true dog people. Our 18 month Great Dane (Lulu) has attended the doggy daycare sessions weekly since she was around 8 months old and we did this so she was able to socialise and expend some energy when she would have been home on her own. The results have been fantastic! The team really knows Lulu and genuinely cares for her. They match her with suitable dogs that fit her personality and energy-levels and after every session she comes home exhausted and sleeps for the next day (except at meal times). Since attending we have had no issues with bored, naughty behaviour when she is at home. Lulu has also attended as a boarder for a week's stay and the fact that we don't have to worry about packing a thing was just so beneficial for us. The boarding package is essentially all-inclusive as they receive meals, play time and a bed with their own outside area to go to the toilet. In Summer there is air conditioning in each of the rooms for added comfort and they have doggy pools in the play yards so they can cool off on those summer days. For extra $ you can also opt for a wash, walking and treats, plus Leanne has many other options and recommendations when you're unsure of their needs. Most dog owners would agree that their dog is their family, and Leanne and the team at HDC treat your dog like they are your child, as if you were dropping your kids off to OOSH or daycare for the day. I have complete trust in the centre and team which is really important when you're leaving your family with someone else. Overall, they have been wonderful, the pricing is affordable (not to mention so worth it) and Lulu now knows the way there in the car, and will become overexcited as soon as we turn on to Oakdale Road. Highly recommend!

I cannot thank Hunter Dog Centre and their dedicated and caring staff enough. I had a very unique and highly distressing situation with my dog Axel and to say the team went well over and beyond what could be reasonably expected is an absolute understatement. It was overwhelmingly clear to me through their proactive actions and communications that the staff were truly empathetic of the harrowing nature of our issue and that their underlying motivation was out of genuine care for both Axel AND myself. Even when I offered money for their assistance this wasn't on their agenda at all and never asked nor accepted further payment when it was clear that further than reasonably expected service in my opinion was provided. I recall reading in the about us type area of information that Hunter Dog Centre was brought about by dog lovers wanting to provide quality care for dogs, and confidence for owners. Resounded through their actions not just words, ever so grateful guys...thank you, Mark. Miss you my mate Axel :-(

We were recommended this centre by friends that use it but decided to do a tour pre booking, thank goodness. We were shown where little dogs go and when the door was opened to the big shed there were dogs everywhere and not all small dogs, no supervision so heaven help any little dog if there were dog fights as can happen with the pack mentality of canines. Chaos was the only description! When we were leaving a young lad was going to walk a blue heeler and it escaped him heading straight to the front gate that thank goodness was closed or it was straight onto a busy road.We got the impression the centre was run by kids as that was all we saw.Take your pet there at your risk!
