Great teachers!

Clearly I’m not the first to say it but hey Educators, Cooks and Cleaners are beautifulBut for close to two years office staff have been rude, terrible with communication, leaving things to the last minute ALWAYS and expecting it to be fixed within their timeline and then refusing refusing care of my child . No compassion, no care, no empathy.To be honest the kids could run the office better. If you would like to be treated like you are beneath them go right ahead and send your kids here. Posted for a parents at the centre : 19.9.2019My son recently transitioned to the Platypus room and I just wanted to pass on my appreciation to the ladies in the room who have done such a great job settling him in!Every afternoon they take the time to go through his day with either my husband or myself and are very genuine in their care of the children. The girls make a real point of telling me what he has eaten during the day – it certainly alleviates some of my worries!!Anyway, I just wanted to pass on my sincere appreciation to your centre for the great work that you do!Many thanks,CathyPosted for a parents 16.9.2019We just wanted to say that we love the new library and recycling!! It’s so great for us with such busy lives to still be able to get the kids involved and have new, exciting books to bring home and keep their love of reading going.Overall, we are very impressed by Avenues and the amount of extra curricular activities and really well administered involvement in all different things, from the newsletter, art, mandarin, outdoor games, recycling, horticulture - it’s amazing! You all do so well to organised so much. The staff are fantastic.Thank you,Celina

This centre was the first that my daughter attended when I returned back to work and I would describe it as a home away from home. The centre is clean, filled with light and has a very warm, welcoming and homely environment. Alisa and her team are very attentive and loving towards the children and always had fun and educational activities prepared for them to embark upon each day. I would always look forward to receiving the daily feeds to see what wonderful activities they were up to during the day. Returning back to work can be daunting and finding the right childcare can be stressful, but Avenues Norman Park made it a very easy transition for me and I can't thank them enough for the care and support.

I have struggled with this centre for the whole two months of attendance 2 days per week - for multiple reasons - including not being informed of starting day despite being told the requested days were available and I was on a wait list, completing my “about me” for my son to collect him from his first day and asking wether he had his bottle for nap time (2y/o) and being told “we don’t do bottles in this room”. Educators are nice, centre director is not flexible with challenges of family life. There are better daycares out there for sure..

Did a center tour with the director weeks ago and completely forgot to leave a review at the time. Great center, but a very cold and rude center director. Would have considered it otherwise.Can give them less then 1 start if i could

My son has been at Avenues since he was 15 months old, he is now 4 and a half and in the kindy programme. I couldn’t be happier with the centre and all of the staff I have ever encountered there. The educators and assistants are friendly, caring, approachable and always go above and beyond. My son absolutely loves going each morning, he loves the food and is always so excited to tell me what he has had for lunch and morning and afternoon tea. I have always been blown away by the things he does each day, and the communication is second to none, with lots of photos, learning journeys and detailed reports of each day’s activities. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the centre and each and every member of staff from the office to the kitchen to the cleaners every one has a smile and friendly word it really feels like a family.
