Companion Kennels

Companion kennels did an awesome job looking after my greyhound Luther. The owner clearly loves dogs, the kennels are very big and the rates are super affordable. Luther has quite strong separation anxiety and I know can be a bit difficult to manage, but they treated him with lots of love and care and I was very happy with how he was looked after and treated whilst I was away.

Went to hospital on 12/10/2020 for knee replacement I've called companion dog kennels on 11/10 to booked my dog Buddy what a experience i had I've explain my situation they were very happy to take Buddy and drop him in my place when i come home .I've called companion kennel let them know i'm back home my Buddy come home very happy to see me my Buddy was nice and clean .I've taken Buddy several time I couldn't fault them at all i'm very happy to take him back i'm highly COMMANDS companion kennel they all great with dogs if you need dog kennel don't waist your time rigging other kennels call companion kennel prices are really good.

Fantastic service. My dog is so happy every time we pick him up. Couldnt be happier.

Avoid them if you want someone who answers their phone, makes it easy to pay, or resembles an endeavour to run a business.

Couldn't be happier with the customer service, price and most importantly the care given to my dog. Im sure he enjoys his holiday more than we do! Our dog can be temperamental around strangers but the lovely woman who runs the kennel takes it in her stride and ensures he is still well looked after and socialized while in her care.

Communication is a real issue with this business. They seem to facilitate all discussions through voice messages as they do not answer the phone. Understanding that they close during the day, 12pm-3pm, we left a message as well as texted that we were on the 11am ferry, and would arrive at 12pm. We arrived at 12:04pm with not a soul in sight, despite our best attempts to communicate (1 text, 2 phone calls; mobile & landline). That left us a 3 hour wait, as well as completely disrupting our travel plans. We ended up finding a different kennel closer to our destination, who actually answer the phone and converse with customers. A stressful start to our weekend getaway, which was completely avoidable through customer service and communication.

Our boy Teddy just had 6 wonderful days here. Anne & the staff are amazing and cared for Teddy like he was their own. We were staying at nearby Point Lonsdale, couldn't have Teddy in the caravan park there, but we were able to pick him up from the kennels each morning & spend the day with him, taking him back each afternoon. The dog beach between Point Lonsdale & Queenscliff is a wonderful off lead area. Thank you Companion Kennels for your special care of our boy....he's looking forward to coming back again. Started sending my 6 month old pup there a few weeks ago because I was unwell. Have decided to keep going with it as it tuckers him out for the day and gives us a break too. Puppy madness!

This place has great indoor kennels for the night and super large grassed kennels for the day. We have no issue leaving out two beagles here.
