A magic place where staff and volunteers work around the clock to care for animals who need a place of solitude as they recover from trauma. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Kangaloola and can't recommend it high enough.

Recently while walking our dog we noticed that an animal had been hit by a car and had been badly hurt, by the evidence left on the road. After finding a Kangaroo in a distressed and badly injured condition, we contacted firstly, a Wildlife rescue service in NSW, which was then triaged to Victoria and was attended by Chris from Kangaloola. The care and compassion shown to the animal, was beyond exemplary. The Kangaroo could not be saved due to the injuries sustained, but Chris's care of the animal was extremely considerate and showed the utmost love for animals. Huge thanks to Chris for his help in what was a stressful situation for all involved. Considering this is a privately owned business and all costs are covered by Chris. Donations to a more deserving organisation could not be more highly recommended.Foot note: Please! if you injure an animal please call a wildlife service, so that appropriate attention can be given to the animal.

Kangaloola Wildlife Shelter
Kangaloola Wildlife Shelter was one of my favorite experiences in Australia and any animal lover’s dream! When I first walked in I was surprised by how basic it was. Baby roos hung from makeshift pouches in the living room, while orphaned wombats inhabited the back garden. Everywhere you looked there was local Australian wildlife looking poorly and sorry for itself. The level of cuteness in that building was unreal.
