I got my battery replaced 3 months and 1 week ago. It swelled up this morning so I went to the store immediately. They said it is not under the warranty. And I just found that my battery isn’t a genuine one. As a consumer, it would be nice to be informed about the battery replacement info beforehand. I went to phone rehab they replaced it a genuine one with a slightly higher price which is worth it.It is not normal that battery swells up indicating the products that they use is not safe.

DO NOT BUY FROM STAR PHONES: Staff at the store are lovely and very helpful however the store refuses to process refunds in store.At time of purchase I asked if they refunded for change of mind, which they said yes however they did not mention it was not done in store and that I would need to email head office to get a refund.I returned products the day of purchase because they did not fit correctly, while in store I was asked to email head office to process my refund, they then assured me it was on its way. Its now been 3 months and many visits back to the store, each time they tell me someone from head office will call me that day to organise the refund and still I have not received the $140 refund. I've now processed a chargeback with the credit card company.

Do not waste your money here, please read the warnings of all the other 1 star reviews. Spent $75 on a glass screen protector that was unevenly put on and started to lift a week after it was put on. Went back 2 weeks later and they wouldn't fix it as it does not have warranty (same as previous reviews, pretty sure they are illegally disregarding all consumer rights). The lady was lovely, but their store/company policies are just dodgy.Went to another phone store to replace, who informed me that because I had a curved screen it was definitely an uneven installation issue which is why it was lifting on the whole side from underneath.Lesson learned, if I had read the reviews I would not have come here. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Charged $49 for a iPhone 11 case,same brand on ebay for $8.95,refused my refund request,will be contacting fair trading in regards to these thieves.

Do not purchase from this store.I will start by saying the sales assistant was very helpful and professional and none of this is her fault.The management of this store won't process refunds. I was given the wrong size case and returned the item, in order to ask for a refund you have to send an email to an account and they need you to give them all of your bank account details which I believe is irresponsible to be collecting this information from customers via email. We will see how long the refund takes.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, WORST EXPERIENCE AND ILLEGAL PRACTICESWent to Star Phones Wollongong Central on Sunday 24th July and asked for screen protectors for 2x Samsung S21s. We agreed to the most expensive screen protector at $129 each. Upon inspecting our new screen protectors while still in the store, I discovered a foreign object that would've been about 3mm long was inbedded in the centre of my screen. My friend also noticed a whole section of his screen was bubbled in the corner. We showed the staff who was responsible who apologised and told us he had no more in stock and would try to remove and replace. This failed and he is frantically on the phone trying to work out a solution such as us travelling to another store or coming back in a week. As we are not from the area we said we are unable to do this and would just prefer a refund. He agreed to providing a refund however we were told we would have to email customer service for this and assured us we would have the money back in our account in 3 days. It is now 9 days later and we have had no response through customer service email and therefore no refund as we were promised. I don't understand how this is legal or acceptable. We left the store without the product we paid for due to their error and they are withholding our money. The staff member acknowledged this was his fault its not a change of mind refund that would possibley require an extra step we left without the product we paid for. Any other store would've just entered the refund via Eftpos immediately. They have literally stolen our money. If this isn't solved immediately I will be reporting them. I would not recommend this business, what a horrible experience.Edit: Still not received refund and is 3 weeks later. Unacceptable. IT IS ILLEGAL to withhold a customer's refund when we left without the product we paid. We had one response saying to go back to store and have the protectors installed again to which I responded we are not local and this wasn't what we agreed to because of this reason. Surprise, surprise they did not reply.
