Let you guys to see what is going on:To: Risk Management & Insurance Coordinator Monash City CouncilI parked my vehicle at the corner of 38 Burlington & Westminster Streets in Oakleigh around middayof 11 July 2021. As I exited the car, the wheels of a passing vehicle dislodged a piece of looseasphalt from the road which hit and damaged my windscreen. That section of the road is extremely dangerous and, as the enclosed photos show, on severaloccasions the council had it marked as such. However, no works to have those potholes filled up hasever been carried out.Given the damage to my vehicle, I feel that Monash City Council should reimburse me for the cost ofreplacing the windscreen. I enclose:1. Quotation for windscreen replacement2. Photographic evidence of the current condition of the road3. Photos showing the damaged windscreen4. An email from Monash Council stating that the council inspected the site and found there to beno issues that require repair/replacement in accordance with the Road Management PlanI look forward to a prompt resolution of my complaint.gravel/stones on the road at Westminster Street,Oakleigh.Council staff had attended this site for an inspection and found there to be no issues that requirerepair/replacement in accordance with the Road Management Plan.this image dated 11/09/2021 is the council made mistake by resurfacing wrong address?.....................................................................................................................Thank you for contacting Council regarding the gravel/stones on the road at Westminster Street,Oakleigh.Council staff had attended this site for an inspection and found there to be no issues that requirerepair/replacement in accordance with the Road Management Plan.In relation to the email that was sent to Risk Management via our Customer Service team, this is aseparate department to the Infrastructure Maintenance division that inspected the road over atWestminster Street so you will be contacted back from them separately.Should you have any further concerns, or wish to follow up please with the Risk Management do nothesitate to contact our Customer Service team on 9518 3555.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My offer to solve this issue sent on Thursday, 27 January 2022I refer to your email dated Wednesday, 19 January 2022 10:09 AM and to our previous correspondence.I reject the Council's offer of $410.67 in full and final settlement of this dispute.I previously provided you with an estimate of repairs to my motor vehicle for the damage which is the subject of this dispute, in the sum of $8,058.19. The Council's offer of $410.67 falls well short of this estimate and were I to accept it, I would be at a considerable financial loss.Consequently, my counter-offer to the Council is $7,058.19. in full and final settlement of this dispute. Please advise whether the Council will accept this counter-offer, as I am sure you would agree that it is not in either party's interest for this dispute to be litigated.• Cost of repair and hire a car result of negligent.• privacy breach.

Missed our recycling bin collection 2 times in a row for the whole street.Reason provided was that we are very busy and multiple collections are there so at this stage its been postponed and booked for friday or sat ( however the scheduled collection is Thursday) and there was no notification whatsoever provided to us.The reason given is so naive and clearly signifies their lack of planning and execution. Its not the first time festive season is going on.Have spoken to 3 different persons and no positive action has been taken till now.

Instead of removing a destructive tree root (footpath has been repaired 3 times in 2 years), Monash staff dumped a load of soil on my nature strip and scattered some grass seeds. This was right before Christmas too, and 2 months later I still have bare dirt in front of my house and it looks shocking.$2,000 a year in rates for this?? Shocking

Bully may be the correct word. We were told by council we could park in the permit zone while the permit was on the way and we registered our number plate with the council to park in that zone. Then I get slammed with a fine and appealed it referencing what we were told previously by the Monash council. Appeal was declined twice. Then I hear nothing for a year and receive the fine in the mail with a nice reminder notice increase to the amount. I appealed that I did not receive anything for a year since the outcome of the previous appeal and they declined to remove the reminder notice charge. Only option is to go to court at this stage so obviously not going to spend thousands on a lawyer so once again, bully is what you could say because I have no option but to pay even though I think it’s not fair.

Left an email to Monash Council regarding food safety concerns involving one of the food and drink vendors in Clayton. The matter was addressed by Monash Council in a professional and timely manner. It was also pleasant to have received an updated follow up email from them. I believe the vendor was shut down for 2 weeks, I’m not sure whether their food hygiene is now up to scratch as I have not been back since. However, I appreciate that Monash Council took the concerns of the community members seriously.

HEADSUP!!!Don't waste your time and energy trying to get LEGITIMATE Questions answered. Staff just give generic cut and paste road safety act responses which are common knowledge, BUT DON'T ANSWER your questions.I am still no closer to feeling satisfied and wiser, because i MUST GO TO COURT to get an answer. Why should i waste court time to get an answer when this council has jurisdiction, not police and not vicroads. In my situation i feel i acted ethically and morally correct, will do same action again, but try avoid monash city municipality as they have a dangerous view of road safety and wont justify their view.

I deal with multiple councils. Monash is by far the worst. Things that should take days take months. They pick small things that don't matter and draw out the process for no reason. Then miss major things to suit themselves. I don't know what they're doing there but it's pathetic. A stormwater connection permit took 3 months. Other councils like hobson took over night. It blows my mind. 3k security deposit. Other councils are 750 bucks. I have no idea why.

Sadly the service that we experience comes down to the luck of which Customer Service Officer you speak to. I've dealt with Monash City council several times over the years across a broad range of issues including rubbish collection, pet services, building and Aged Care support services. On each time I could not have been happier with the service. The staff have been informed and courteous and my questions/issues were resolved quickly ..... So from soley my own individual experiences they are fantastic.

Just a quick review. Council rates are cheap and always provide minimimal services. Sadly they are do not look at value for money.Recently council reduced waste bin services without any PRIOR consultion to users and without consideraton of needs. (Another example was the recycling waste services were the cheapest and involved sending OS but after OS no longer wanted it they just sent to landfill now that is sustainable NOT.)
