Dove Lake Carpark
The actual carpark at the lake isn’t accessible via personal vehicle. Signs at the Ronny Creek stop indicate only shuttles past this point. Shuttle buses with run every so often will stop at this bus stop. Bathrooms are available at that stop. The what was a carpark (about 100m from the bus stop) seems be almost at the completion of building. Possibly a new tourist information centre and cafe? Not yet available to public access. The walking tracks all begin from this central location leading towards Dove lake.

Im totally in love with this national park, its very very well organised here, stunning, clean, with lots of tracks for you to choose from, from easy to hard. We decided to go to Marion Lookout instead of the more crowded Dove lake. It took around 1.5 hour to reach the top, had packed lunch there and we went down via an alternative track to go back to the dove lake carpark, where we walked a part of the dove lake track and passed by the boatshed, but this route is quite difficult and very steep, please only choose this alternative route if you wear proper hiking shoes. There is a frequent shuttle that runs every 10mins from the base car park to take you to different track, most people got off at dove lake car park. Cradle Mountain is included in the Tasmania national park pass. Please prepare enough water and some snacks / lunch to enjoy at the top! I can chill up there all day.

Great scenery and great weather….But unfortunately we couldn’t drive to the carpark and had to take a shuttle bus from the visitor centre.

If you're coming to Cradle Mountain, and you are with a tourist group, then they will likely bring you here as a starting point for your visit..On a good day, you get a beautiful view of Cradle Mountain. Some days are misty. It can get very cold, but also warm if the sun is out. Make sure you wear sunscreen and also cover up!! The UV is very strong and you will get burnt if not careful.Go for the hike to Marion's lookout. It's worth the effort.

The view over the lake is spectacular. I got to visit after it snowed and it was very pretty. It's places like these that make Tasmania the best place to visit.

Quiet and calm. Currently building a viewing platform for disability access. There is no real carpark. The shuttle park drops you off at the end of the dirt road and turns around and heads back along road back to visitor centre. It does loops. It has toilets but portable like ones.

Dove Lake Carpark
One of the best national parks around Tasmania. It’s 1000% worth a visit. Drive to the dove lake and take the path to Ronny’s creek one of the best spots, you will see a lot Wombats

Stunning walk around Dove Lake. Wild flowers everywhere in December. Get there early so you can drive to the Lake car park instead of catching the shuttle. Less people as well as it is popular with tourists. 2 hrs of breathtaking scenery. Easy walk.
