A must-visit museum! We had a great volunteer tour guide (Ian Hobbs) who told us some amazing stories and explained everything so thoroughly. Lots to learn here :)

Great to see the old steam engines still running. Unique collection of historic electrical items and plenty of knowledgeable volunteers to inform you about any of the items on display. Several interactive displays to stimulate the curious minds.

This is a great museum of the early days of electric street lighting. And also a nostalgic look back at how electricity transformed domestic life. The volunteer guides were knowledgeable and friendly and rightly proud of their museum.

An excellent collection of electrical appliances to show how they have evolved over the years. The tour guide (Ian) was excellent - he was very knowledgeable and his explanations were interesting.Would definitely recommend a visit. We easily spent about 2 hours (with a tour guide).

Spotted the Tamworth Powerstation Museum as I was walking through the middle of town. As I had some extra time decided to stop in and have a look. The volunteer Ian was really helpful and gave us the layout of the museum. Interesting collection! Photos attached from my experience at the museum:

A fantastic museum dedicated to Tamworth and the history of the electrification of the City. Run by very helpful and friendly volunteers who will actually spend time to explain the various items on display. Very friendly people. There is an abundance of items on display from bulbs, radios, fridge, washing machines, electricity related items and SO much more! Highly recommend visiting and allocating about an hour or two.
