Went to here for dinner on Wednesday night and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The menu is quite small and the food was good. The only issue that we had was that the food was extremely salty. By the time our dinner was over, our mouths were on fire from how much salt was used.

Service was good but the food was average. Ordered the crispy eggplant that was quite bland and needed more seasoning. We also ordered the prawn fried rice which is sold at market price and it was $32 so we were expecting bigger prawns than just the regular ones that you can buy from the supermarket but the presentation was nice. The tartar for me was probably the highlight of an overall average food experience.

I went here for a date night and had one of the best nights I’ve had at a restaurant. The service was very efficient, hats off to my waitress, she was so sweet and guided me through my dietaries and helped plan the shared food. The food was delicious and came out so quickly! The drinks were flowing and you could tell there was a lot of forethought with the drinks and food menu. I am absolutely coming back and I can not recommend it enough

This was a fancy Chinese restaurant i may say. the crispy chicken was a little bit over cooked, skin was crispy for sure. Prawn toast taste really good, crunchy and flavourful. Wonton soup are the best, soup was slightly sweeter, but still good to my taste. And the mushroom pasta, yummy. Also the beer from the can, called Tina, it’s really good.

A superb Asian fusion restaurant that we really enjoyed. Clever interpretation of classic dishes, with the highest quality ingredients. Also backed up with great table service. Well worth a visit.May 2023- Went back for the Yum Cha menu, that also has very high quality dishes with great flavours. They have a very good wine list too. A great way to enjoy a Sunday lunch.

Save your money and head to an authentic Chinese restaurant instead. We had the $59pp unlimitted yum cha. To begin with, it took 15 minutes to get any staff's attention to have our first order in. The venue was 80% full, there were 4 floor staff and 2 bartenders, so I don't think there is any lack of staff since it is a pretty small venue. They were busy bussing tables, when there is no customers coming in? So no excuses there.1 hour in and we only had 4 dishes. We prompted the staff when she came to ask if we wanted more drinks. The food came out within 2 minutes after and she asked we wanted more. Granted that the seating timing was 2 hours and we only had a few dishes out of the 12 from the unlimited" yum cha

I was lucky enough to have dinner here with a group of friends in the private dining area. The ambiance of it all was amazing.Everything from the lighting, food, service and price was absolutely incredible! We went with the more expensive set menu and it did not disappoint, we also had a few members of the party who had some allergies and were easily catered for.The staff were excellent and very attentive.Highly recommend this place for a great group meal out!

Really modern styled Asian fusion restaurant with great service from the start. The manager was on point and on top of everything, so much so he even noticed when we weren’t given spoons for our desserts and he was already over with them as we asked for them! It seems very popular as it was more or less full even on a Tuesday evening. For food we got:Starters:Pickled vegetables which were the perfect sweet and sour you’d expect for the Asian styled pickles. The sesame seeds were really flavorful and added the perfect crunch to the dish. The raw scallops were fresh & juicy. The sauce was tangy and made the dish sing.Tofu 2 ways is a must have! Fried in salt n pepper, so crunchy! The other way was a tofu purée which was dissolve in your mouth delicious! Perfect together.Mains:Sweet n sour cauliflower was crunchy and moreish!Bak choy was a little soft and overcooked, sauce was a little bit too thick and jelly like.Typhoon prawn was mushy but the garlic crunch was tasty.Steak tartare lacked spice and a sour element. I added a bit of lime juice and chilli oil to it and it seasoned it to my taste. The wonton wrappers I would suggest the yellow ones as they are a bit crispier when fried rather than the white ones they used as they were a bit doughy and floury.Desserts:We got both options. The green apple granita was soooo refreshing and did taste of Granny Smiths. The almond cake was light and fluffy. They have a great wine list and the gin martini was perfection.Nice atmosphere & vibe but the food was inconsistent & some could do with some tweaking.

I’m happy I tried Moonhouse. I wanted to like it more than I did… it was such an eclectic experience, I’ll try to cover most of it and focusing on the food.We made a booking online with set menu request. They could see the booking but no details… so why even offer food requests?Great ambience in the restaurant!Premium set menu (see pictures for reference)Oysters- they are ok at best, nearly no oyster taste due to the toppingsTartare- very good! I like the Asian inspired flavours with this dish. Feels fresh.Duck pancake - good! It’s very sweet so make sure you like sweetness.Wontons - very good! Great balance of flavour and I loved the black chili vinegar.Fish - ok at best. Very sublet flavours. This dish faded to the background due to the strong flavours of all the other dishes, specially the one it was served with.Stir fry vegetables- AMAZING!!! If I go back to this restaurant, I’m ordering this and with a side of rice and I’ll be happy. This is a must order when visiting.Ginger and almond cake - ok/good. Didn’t think much of it besides very wet.I think the biggest problem with our visit was how the set menu was composed. Some dishes just clashed flavour wise. My husband couldn’t finish his desert because due to the combination of flavours and the not once did they ask why 3/4 of the desert was left untouched.I wish I would have had a better experience and better food but this review is honest. It wasn’t bad… but it was not good either.
