ATR Wines

Tucked away behind beautiful vines and bushland, ATR is a true delight! Michelle is friendly, down to earth and very knowledgeable. She shares wonderful stories and is very passionate about the wonderful wines on offer. It’s a beautiful setting next to the dam and funky tunes in the background. We happily joined the wine club for exclusive tastings and discount wines and much anticipation for upcoming releases and deliveries. Would recommend calling to make a booking to secure your tasting!

If you are looking for some wineries to visit while in Great Western you MUST visit ATR wines cellar door. We phoned ahead to book in a tasting and we were not dissapponted. Superb service, beautiful wines and luxurious cellar door! Michelle is very hospitable and friendly and spent time explaining all of their delicious offerings. I enjoyed them very much. The location is peaceful overlooking a dam and I could have easily spent a few hours outside just relaxing while eating a delicious little platter. Can't wait to return. Thanks so much for an enjoyable time!

We stopped by for a tasting.Fantastic wines, for a start. We were short on baggage allowance or else would probably have bought at least one of everything (but restrained ourselves to 7 bottles).The tasting area is currently a little bar in the actual winery shed, Adam rocked up on a quad bike when he saw us arrive. Personally I love this vibe a lot more than the more commercialised cellar doors, although I understand they're working on building a tasting room.It's great to have a tasting with the actual winemaker, they always have a great deal more insight into what has gone into the bottle than your average cellar door host. It was great to have a chat with Adam about what was going on in his vineyard and the region in general. He also managed to keep things very unpretentious, which is a common pitfall in the industry.All in all, fantastic to visit and I hope to come again one day.

My husband and I visited on an awfully rainy Friday afternoon and boy did it improve our spirits! Michelle at the cellar door was fantastic - she was knowledgeable about the wines, the process and the region.. and she was a fantastic host. In the two days of staying at the Grampians, every person we spoke to, we told them this place was a must!" bold and beautiful wines!"

Michelle is absolutely outstanding. Hands down the best cellar door experience we've had in Victoria. She was attentive, kind, informative and generous with her time. Really glad we popped in here for a tasting. Interesting and elegant wines + a beautiful setting for a cellar door + Michelle (welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable host). Will certainly visit again next time we're in the area!

Michelle was a bundle of energy and knowledge, and made for a good tasting experience. Had we had more time we would have liked to have tried the premium selection, but the complimentary selection covered whites and reds. The property is beautiful, and the tasting section was new from covid. Would go back.

Adam is so passionate about his wines and it really shows in the glass. His little patch of Australian Bush is well worth a visit, his rustic tasting area in the winery is authentic and immersive. A great addition to the wonderful wine region of Great Western.

Lovely place to visit when in the area! The lady that ran our tasting was awesome! Very knowledgeable and great to talk to. I loved trying different wines and seeing where they are grown. I even brought some to take home! Nice range of cool climate wines! Highly recommended especially if you are looking for alternatives to the big wine makers.
