Raised a dispute with local council because they valued my property $400K more than the market value. Westlink Consulting send me a notice saying they reviewed my valuation objection and the valuation by the council stands. They dared to state on the notice that have given me reasonable opportunity to contact them to discuss the valuation - an outright lie. Never heard from them until their decision was handed down. Tried to contact the valuer, but the receptionist just said they are not in the office. I have 30 days to lodge a VCAT review which will cost $700 - more than the extra council fee that I am disputing about. Feels like a rigged system to generate income for the local council.
