Laurel brown Hair and Makeup

Laurel did a fabulous job of our makeup for my daughter’s marriage celebration. I had my hair done elsewhere and the curls dropped within a short period of time. Laurel redid my hair for me, it looked great. Next time I’m booking Laurel for both hair and makeup, she’s a lovely person, professional and so talented!! Thanks Laurel!

Laurel was my hair and makeup artist for my formal that evening. I've never used a hair and makeup artist before but she was kind and discussed my skin and hair as to what products to use. I was very pleased with the work with hair and makeup, and we both communicated to each other what looks might look well for me. Laurel also showed me some of the products she was using, as recommendations of good products to use for my skin and hair concerns. I felt very comfortable around her working on my hair and face, even though I don't wear very much makeup often. Very happy with the results!

I booked Laurel to do mine & my sister’s makeup for my son’s wedding & she was excellent. Very calm & professional. I felt very relaxed in the hands of someone with lots of experience & knowledge. Laurel was recommended to us from our family friend when I was looking for a make up / hair artist for my daughter’s formal and we are so grateful to have found her!!Communication was easy, and Laurel was so accommodating with all out requests - we had a very limited timeframe to get our girl ready but she managed it all with such an ease and transformed her with her magic in such a short time.I must note that her make up was very age appropriate, not too heavy or full on but glamorous enough for the event.I also felt that having teenage children herself, she is very in touch with the trends for younger generations.My daughter was very pleased with her work.I can’t wait to have her back again for another occasion. Laurel did my make up as I was having some corporate head shot photos done. With a minimal brief Laurel worked her magic and had me looking professional and camera ready with just the right amount of make up. Best of all it stayed on all day and was flawless and natural. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Laurel as not only was she a great make up artist she has a natural ability to put you at your ease.

At very short notice Laurel did the hair and make up for my wedding and I feel very lucky to have found her. Her communication before the wedding was excellent, and I was thrilled with my hair and make up and how carefully she listened to what I wanted. Laurel has an incredible ease in teaching and her immense experience is evident. My girlfriends and I were all possibly stretching the bonds of our last make up lesson - possibly around the age of 16. We had a fun evening learning new skills from Laurel and understanding a great deal about exactly what different products do and how to apply them. Not to mention understanding our own unique challenges and how to get the best out of the only faces we can call our own. The lesson has transformed my approach and I've gladly left behind my old tricks. I'm so much more confident now in achieving a much more polished look that lasts all day. Thanks Laurel, I think we actually need to do one every year.

It was such a pleasure working with Laurel. She’s very professional and most importantly, listens to you! She did my makeup and hair for my reception dinner, and it was a beautiful experience. She made sure everything was done on time and also gave me extra lipstick for touching up later. It was a smooth experience! I would totally recommend her to everyone.

I love Laurel’s work because she specialises in a ‘you, but better look’, highlighting natural features. She listens and understands a brief and does what the client prefers.I personally have used Laurel many times and with groups of friends with different looks, complexions and hair textures - she can do it all!Laurel isn’t just a great hair and makeup artist, she is also a delight to spend time with.
