I had a salad roll which was nice but the service could have been better, they seem to be more interested in local gossip than serving customers

Steak and Mushroom Pie, ~$6 byo Sauce.First bite was a bomb of flaky and soft pastry and a massive savoury hit of umami. Kiss of mushroom and meat. Not chunky not fine just spot on. Rich, thick, well seasoned gravy. Only negative is the soft doughy base, this could be greatly improved if I cooked it myself. I've got a Bushman pie cold to cook later. My Sheppard pie looks sloppy in the pic but that was mostly my fault - it was actually awesome. My mate had the vegan lentil pie and said the flavour that hit his meat-free mouth was an incredible taste explosion

If travelling along the Goyder highway, drop into the Burra bakery and say hi to the staff. I would say they make the best sausage roll I have ever eaten. My travelling partner declared the same about the potato pie they selected.

The place in Burra to get your Cornish pasties. I topped my pastie off with a delicious coffee. The lady serving us was friendly and very informative. This was a delightful break on our trip to Adelaide
