Starline Houseboats

In mid-May we had a wonderful long weekend aboard Starline's larger houseboat called Princess. There was plenty of room for my family of 4 along with another family of 4. The kids all bunked together in the same room and the adults had 2 separate rooms/spaces. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our meals (including bbq dinners) sitting on the topdeck under the new canopy. When they weren’t swimming or doing other water activities, the kids enjoyed watching movies from the great movie selection. Lyn-Marie gave us a comprehensive briefing when we arrived and was excellent to deal with. She was friendly and responsive and really wants her customers to have a wonderful time on Lake Eildon.

Hopeless company. Boat, cutlery draws and other cupboards weren’t clean. Half furniture on boat broken. Won’t provide tax invoices, didn’t confirm booking, lost our payment and wanted us to pay again. Have sent 3 emails with acc details and they are still asking for details even though I am replying to their emails. The walk around showing operation and safety functions was treated as a laughable stupid thing “we are forced to do”. Lynmarie and her sidekick Darren are hopeless operators and don’t seem to care. When I ring they can’t seem to understand what the fuss is. I just wish they would fulfill their normal business obligations.And they are more expensive as well. Hopeless company, avoid at all cost.

I would exercise caution when booking with this company. I placed a booking 3 months prior and was called 2 hours before the check in to tell me the boat we booked didn’t pass an inspection and wasn’t able to be rented. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Our absolute best winter holiday ever. Our Lady of the lake 'Jedda' was cozy warm, very comfortable bedding, and a great shower and kitchen. 5 nights and days came to an end all to quickly. Our hosts Lyn-Marie and Darren were very friendly and helpful and their policy regarding the bond is very reasonable allowing to save yourself money. We will be back and next time, I'll make sure I catch one of those big fish and legendary freshwater Crayfish I heard about. Thankyou so much. It truely ticked all our boxes for a getaway from the normal.

Two family of adults and kids went on the Princess houseboat and enjoy thru out the trip. Everything works (to our contentment) and heaps of movies to watch on the TV that has built in DVD player. Decent bed rooms that everyone knocked out after a full day of water activities!We cook on stove and use the microwave. The fridge is a good decent size where we stock all food. The BBQ Weber works well and great meat and vegetables to cook.Special mentioned to Darren for being so patience and friendly to us who know nothing about stirring the boat. Our first experience was amazing with this company. Note while you cruise along the lake, you see nicer boat. For us this houseboat is good enough and we will definitely recommend and come back next Summer.

We have just returned our houseboat after 5 brilliant nights on Jedda. Had everything we needed, well equipped kitchen, super comfy bed, warm and cosy at night, lovely hot shower, easy to navigate and customer service second to none. Thanks Lyn-Marie and Darren - Christine and Gary. Oh, and we caught fish!
