I rarely leave reviews for places but I just had such a lovely night at Farro that I felt I had to! Firstly the service was incredible, the staff were so attentive and friendly. I sat there for a while alone because my friend was stuck in traffic and they were lovely, I didn't feel like there was any huge pressure to hurry up and order though I did get the polenta fingers and a drink while I waited as I was hungry.I am vegan and my friend tries to avoid gluten where possible and I included these dietary requirements when booking and when I sat down the staff gave me menus and asked about the dietary requirements. They were also conscious to make sure that we were getting the gluten free and vegan options when ordering. To the point where my friend wanted to try some of my (gluten filled) nutella calzone that I got for dessert and I think the wait staff were concerned that it contained gluten haha. The consideration was really appreciated thank you!Finally the food was incredible, everything was beautifully presented and tasted great. It felt like they used quality ingredients and the portion sizes were generous so it's definitely worth it for the price.Thanks so much for a beautiful night, my friend and I loved it and I'll be telling my family and friends how great this restaurant is!

I recently dined at this Italian Restaurant and tried several dishes, including the Pistachio Burrata, Crocchette, Prosciutto Pizza with extra buffalo mozzarella, Tagliatelle Lamb Ragu, and Gnocchi Pistachio Pesto. Overall, I thought the food was quite good.The Pistachio Burrata was a standout dish for me. The creamy cheese was perfectly complemented by the subtle pistachio flavor and the dish was beautifully presented. The Crocchette was also enjoyable - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a savory filling.The Prosciutto Pizza with extra buffalo mozzarella was delicious, with a crispy crust and generous amounts of cheese and prosciutto. The Tagliatelle Lamb Ragu was hearty and satisfying, with tender lamb and a rich tomato-based sauce. The Gnocchi Pistachio Pesto was also tasty, with a nutty and slightly sweet pesto sauce that paired well with the soft gnocchi.One thing that stood out to me during my dining experience was the service - it was consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations, and the rest of the staff were also polite and helpful.Overall, I would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant. The quality of the food was high, and the service was exceptional. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner for two or a group gathering, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out.

Wow! I enjoyed every single bit of my pizza. It was super delicious. We had Funghi Pizza with Rocket Salad.I will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who are seeking for real Italian pizza in Hawthorn area.

We took family and friends out to celebrate our daughter's birthday last night at Farro Hawthorn and we had a great night! From the moment we arrived we were all made to feel very welcome. All the wait staff were so friendly, kind and attentive which made our experience at Farro even more pleasurable.The food was delicious and servings were generous.Thanks so much for a fun and memorable night.

A homely experience at this venue. We ordered the pizza to share and then pasta for dinner. The bufala pizza was more soggy and wet than we preferred when we tucked it. The dough was nice but not the best pizza in town. The pastas were prepared well, perhaps under seasoned but there was salt and pepper on the table. Drinks were good, shame a beer we wanted from the menu wasn’t available. Wait staff were a little inattentive but that improved as the service went on.

Definitely visit Farro for some delicious and authentic Italian food that specialises in spelt flour pizza dough. They also have a vegan menu and gluten free options.We ordered the polenta chips as entree which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For mains we had the prosciutto and mushroom pizza as well as the spaghetti and meatballs and pistachio pesto gnocchi. I couldn’t fault any meal as they were all tasty and we added chilli oil & flakes for some extra spice. The bases of the pizza are so easy to digest and not leave you feeling bloated.The restaurant is quite the vibe as the lighting is more on the dark side, so a good date spot. The staff are also friendly and happy to offer menu suggestions. We went to this restaurant for my dad’s birthday so they brought ice cream with a candle on top. Then we sang happy birthday which was lovely.

Not great. Got 3 take away pizzas, was really looking forward to it after amazing reviews and great images online. Pizzas were bland, toppings lacking flavour and seasoning. 4 cheese pizza was lacking in punch or flavour. Disappointing. Will not come back.
