Sliced Detroit Pizza Newtown
Went in for a quick slice on a Friday night to try this place out and was very pleased. Ordered a Cuban and a mushroom mania and both were great. Pizzas were made to order so they’re not just sitting in a display waiting to be heated. Will definitely go back and order larger pizzas. Staff were super friendly and the place was clean. Will definitely be going back.

Don't you adore dripping hot fat? It's the chocolate fountain of fat! Having lived near Detroit for far too much of my pizza eatin existence, I know a decent one when it hits my gullet. At its best, it's a gooey, red sauce mess on top of an almost honeycomb hard and dough soft base. Here, it's the gooey, without the rest. The attempt at Detroit base, turns out more Melba toast (nobody misses the 70s like lovers of Melba toast) than Detroit. The veg supreme is neither. It's as sad as a Bradley Cooper goodbye. The service is efficient, and it's hot food, but that's it. Newtown has a world of fab pizza at your beck and call. This ain't it, and this ain't Detroit neither.

Have ordered for take aways a couple of times. Our favourites are Detroit Heet, Motor City Supreme and cheese sticks. The garlic fingers are great too.Service is friendly, and as they’re made fresh the wait could be awhile. The pizza dough is so soft which we like.Only constructive feedback is the toppings could be more generous.

A newly opened shop located on King St, Newtown. These guys are make some fresh, flavoursome Detroit pizzas. We ordered the roasted garlic & feta, buffalo, veggie delight and garlic fingers. Couldn't fault any of them! Would definitely go back!

I think these guys will become one of the top pizza places in Sydney! First time trying 'Detroit' style pizza which is in a square. Glad to see they had a pretty good Gluten Free option too (it was not rock hard like others).We tried:*Detroit pizza - Hula Hula, Buffalo, Motor Car Supreme & Chicken & Bacon Ranch.*Garlic Cheese Fingers.*Gluten Free pizza - 5 Cheese with sausage (the 4 cheese is amazing!!!)*Cheese SticksOverall really good value at $5 a slice. The staff were really friendly and helpful with suggestions.

One of my favourite places to hang out.. the service is very quick.. stuffs are very friendly.. they have a nice variety of flavours.. they have both sweet and savoury options which I think amazing!!!

Popped in for a quick bite before the movies and I was very happy I came here - thick, tasty pizzas. I couldn’t decide for a whole pizza so got the Philly cheese and veggie delight as a slice each (actually two rectangular slices) - it was enough!

My daughter and I visited Detroit Pizza at Newtown on our way home from an event tonight.We ordered the Philly cheese steak and mozzarella sticks. Both were absolutely delicious. I am a pizza LOVER ... I make my own at home and am a harsh critic. This pizza blew both my daughter and I away. So light, non greasy, super fresh and really flavoursome. The mozzarella sticks too were so full of flavour yet didn't feel greasy either. So yummy!!The service was super friendly. The man was calm and patient as we decided what to have.It was an unplanned visit, as my daughter was promised ice cream but the ice cream place closed after we parked our car. We were both so glad to have tried it!! When I found an ice cream place afterwards my daughter was satisfied with the pizza and mozzarella sticks she just enjoyed.I thank the server too for redirecting the attention of a man that walked in away from us. Very grateful.We will be back!!

Great Place, good vibes.Ordered vegetarian pizzaPerfect texture and taste. Just the right amount of crisp and tenderness in the pizza base. Would make it perfect if they put bit more toppings.

I will be getting all my Vegan Pizzas from here everytime I am in Sydney. I tried their Roast Pumpkin, Sweet Potato and Spinach and Vegie Delight pizza, I went twice in two days. Generally I like thin crust Pizzas however the Pizza bases are so fluffy and taste amazing. My favourite is Roast Pumpkin, the Olives work really well. Customer Service was lovely, they even confirmed if I wasn't Vegan Mayo so they are switched on with lifestyle requirements. I'm due for Sydney soon and will be back again for more! Very cute little store, seems like more people get take away as opposed to sit inside. We did both. My Partner never tried Vegan Cheese before and said he loved it. Big thumbs up!
