Pretty ordinary, Bare Knoll is a much nicer spot that will save a walk down and back up the hill.

Haven't done all the tracks in Tasman National Park, but based on what I have done I think the 1 km from the main track to this site is the most strenuous. Reasonable level of fitness is good, otherwise just take breaks. Good or bad, the site was entirely empty for the 2 nights we were there starting Boxing Day. There's a drop toilet and rain water tanks (needs to be treated before consumption). The camping platforms make the sleeping that much more comfy :)
