Small unclean cages for pigeons and birds. Fish tanks not fresh. Would not buy anything from here.

Pet Paradise or Customer Service Wilderness? You Decide!Let me tell you about my recent visit to Jaybees Pet Food and Produce. This place is like a pet-lover's buffet, with a smorgasbord of pet goodies to choose from. But just when I thought I had found the perfect oasis for pet supplies, I encountered some customer service that left me feeling like a lost pup.Picture me, eager to get the perfect treat for my furry friend, asking a staff member for suggestions. You'd expect a friendly exchange, right? Instead, I was met with a frosty response that could have given a penguin the chills!Now, I'm not saying the entire store was a customer service disaster, but that one interaction was like a fly in my pet food soup. It's a bummer, really, because the place has so much potential, but it's hard to enjoy shopping when you feel like you're tiptoeing on thin ice.So, if you're looking for a vast array of pet products but are willing to risk a little cold shoulder, Jaybees Pet Food and Produce might be your spot. Just be prepared to thaw out afterward with some warm and fuzzy cuddles from your pet!

DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE.The store:It is so run down and has dust absolutely everywhere, spider webs on shelves, expired pet food, half price clearance chew toys that are caked in mountains of dust and mould. The prices may be appealing but for the quality and the state of the items are in, it is definitely not worth it. I feel sorry for all the animals in cages as it really looks like they havent been cared for attentively. Really doesn't help that the owner aggressively claims that they clean their cages when in fact it's just a lie to make us believe the reviews are wrong and biased.The customer service:The other staff are fine and kind, but it's the old man (I assume the owner) just sits on the chair in the corner of the counter doing nothing at all. I went in ready to pay only to find him sleeping, as soon as I had to wake him up he didn't bother to scan my items and he told me to wait for the other staff member.The one time my partner went in she dealt with the same man and he couldn't scan an item so he told her to go back and get the item so he could scan it. After that he just threw the item directly at her in the most inappropriate way.In conclusion this place is just not a very pleasant store to visit and support. Based from the other reviews I know that I am not the only one that is not impressed with the cleanliness and service. Would not be surprised if the owner will reply back in an aggressive manner disproving my review.

Prices seem fair and not expensive at all. Has great selection of dog, cat, fish, birds and small animal products and food. Has a small aquarium section looked like it needed more care and attention (tanks don't look that well maintained). Small aviary in the back with some birds (cages need more attention).There was a cat on the premises that followed customers around and loved attention and will rub against you :)The store had some notice signs up that noted the prices of feed has been increased due to the drought in order to help support Aussie farms, I think that's good!Also for customers that pay with card, do note there is a minimum of $20 spend.Small 6 carpark spaces on site for people that drive.Tldr; Great small pet warehouse, would be rated higher if live animals (bird and fish) are better cared for other than that everything else is great!

Had good prices for some things and expensive for others. Store was very dusty.Older guy served us and wasn’t friendly at all. Only spoke to tell me the price and didn’t say goodbye or anything.Younger guy who served us was awesome. Greeted us when we walked in and said goodbye.
