The worst medical practice I’ve ever been to. These are the issues I’ve had all on seperate occasions:Booked an appointment with a doctor to get a mental health plan, but their suggestion before allowing me to have this was to “just stop thinking about it”.On another occasion, a doctor was checking me for potential issues due to my white blood cell count being too high and said “I should probably check your prostate, but that would just be uncomfortable for both of us” and then never checked it. If I’d had prostate cancer this would have been malpractice. On another occasion I was prescribed medication and requested it be sent to me via email. They sent me a digital prescription which they accidentally cancelled immediately after prescribing it, and after calling back 3 times this wasn’t rectified and reception just kept saying “I’ll email the doctor to let them know”. I now have to book another appointment just to fix this since no once can fix the issue.Doctors have been regularly homophobic as well, but I won’t go into that. I couldn’t recommend this place any less. I’ve only ever had 1 good doctor here who is Edmund Khoo

I went there yesterday with a sudden problem and the team were fantastic and so helpful.I wish I could remember the name of the Doctor, but alas, I cannot. The young Asian Nurse in the treatment room was very good and knew her stuff.Thank you for doing a good job and caring for me.Well done team!

Instead of saying ‘you’re alright?’ Say ‘hi how can I help you with?’. The customers would feel much welcome and your clinic could be more professional and friendly. Customers are kind enough to wait at the desk without saying anything to give you time because you ‘look’ busy then do your part to help them feel well treated. If possible. Otherwise do not to customer service.

I always recommend the Glenunga Medical centre. Dr Singh is our family doctor. Experienced and always explain us everything in detail.I recently consulted Dr Sampath Perera. Thank you so much for the service. I was really struggling with my health condition. He understood my concerns and treated well.

Dr Dayani Jayakodi is our family GP. She has extensive knowledge and has always directed us in the right path for treatment. She usually explain the reason for the problem and her treatment plan. She is always willing to answer the questions we have. Highly recommend her.

I’ve never seen such a concentration of incompetence, rudeness, negligence at one place. If I could give less than one star , I would rate the practice - 100. I’ve had a very negative experience with a few doctors. Dr. Nadia is rude, always hurry up and do not want to listen to the patient. She encourages the parents to book more appointments so to get more income for her. Other doctors do not listen to patient at all, make so many primitive mistakes like not filling the patient address line, mistakes in Surnames doing referrals, even if the patient provides a printed all the information. Absolutely incompetent. I’ve had recently a horrible experience with Dr.Dayani. I saw her a couple of times, complaining about difficulty to breathe, cough, chest pain, sore throat, fatigue, fewer, muscles pain, dizziness and headache. She told me that my throat is red because of its dryness and I that was completely alright, and she asked me to leave. I treated myself but the cough progressed to worse and I felt chest pain. I went to the different clinic and I was diagnosed with atypical pneumonia. So I felt badly, suffered over a month, I wasted the time not having the proper treatment, due to negligence and incompetence of the doctor. I’ll raise the issue to the competent institutions.

I was reluctant to share my review concerning our displeasing experience in the place. However, I trust that some people have a similar view to mine, and maybe this review might work as an alert to avoid having experiences like mine. There is apparent friendly behaviour in the staff conduct (nurses). I emphasize: that apparently, they are kind. My wife and I were not fairly treated after we decided to postpone many appointments that the nurse was willing to make to my wife in a health program. After that situation, in the following appointment we appeared, the doctor wasn't kind either. She didn't look properly at our daughter regarding one specific piece of advice we asked and begrudgingly refused to print a simple sheet of paper with exams. Repeated as a mantra that making appointments as she suggested would be our choice - I reckon it's not precisely in that way - At least we felt under pressure to make those appointments. At the end of the appointment, I said '- thank you`, and the doctor didn't reply. Do we need that?We felt not only disappointed, but we understand that they might consider us not capable of making choices as their behaviour changed as parents would treat their child at an early age: 'Don't want to do what we expect you to do? That's the way will be treated here.' Medicine must be the exercise of empathy and respect for choices - I trust this postulate. My point is if you don't want to be mistreated (or expose yourself to a possible scenario like this), avoid consulting them. I believe they are not worried about patients' feelings (as I could see from other people's reviews and their repeated behaviour).I don't recommend their services.

I have been to see a few different Doctors in the last year or so feeling very unwell with no luck with a diagnosis until I booked in with Dr Sampath Perera. He was very understanding and listened to me without making me feel unheard or dismissing my complaints as trivial. He sent me off for the correct tests and I was then diagnosed with cancer. I probably would've had a very different outcome if he wasn't my Dr. I am now cancer free and very thankful to him . I highly recommend Dr Sampath Perera at the Glenunga Medical Centre.
